Another rainy night in Gotham. This time, the rain was especially heavy, with lightning flashing and thunder roaring.

Even Gotham citizens, long accustomed to such weather, could only hide in their homes and glimpse nature's fury through their tiny windows.

As spring gradually passed and summer arrived, typhoons and torrential rain came with it. Though this city had never worn any gentle disguise, the hurried sound of wind and rain still made people's hearts tremble.

A dark figure dropped from a towering rooftop, his cape sweeping through the rain and mist like a lone boat amid raging winds and waves. When he landed, the splashing water rose into brilliant neon beneath the streetlights.

Batman held a Batarang in his hand, and the tension in his hand muscles made it clear that he had encountered another troublesome opponent. This time, the pressure on him was greater than ever.

Usually, he defeated criminals to save others. But today, he had one more goal in defeating this criminal: getting back to school as quickly as possible and making sure his unfinished thesis did not put his life in danger.

But he soon realized it was already too late, because at the entrance to the alley, he saw a figure holding an umbrella.

It reminded Batman of the Dreams he had had in Schiller's Mind Palace. He had faced countless serial killers in those Dreams, playing games against terrifying opponents in a warped Gotham City.

Yet even so, he could still feel his heartbeat accelerating. He knew that was not a good sign. If he put himself in the position of prey first, then he might become a sacrifice to this dark city.
