"About a dozen hours ago, the CIA agents under my command sent back word that the Federal Bureau of Investigation had arrested the organizer of the Central American Revolution and was preparing to escort him back to Washington for interrogation."

"I initially thought it was a feint they had put out. With the situation unclear, I didn't act rashly. But then word came that the escort agents and the target had vanished together. The FBI now suspects the CIA was behind it."

Kayla's helpless voice came through the phone. "Their suspicion isn't unreasonable. The FBI thinks the KGB wouldn't act so quickly. After all, the CIA had used similar traps against them before. Even if they received the news, they would certainly be observing the situation, just as I was."

"Besides, judging by the KGB's methods, they would be more likely to tamper with things in Washington, especially the interrogation. They could use it to set a trap for the CIA in return."

"So, Alfred, do you think this is a trap? Could it be something the FBI staged themselves? Or..."

"I think you already have the answer." Alfred replied, "The FBI wouldn't dare make an issue out of this
