"Fairness? Justice?" The chief overseer's voice came from beneath the dirt mound, dripping with mockery and ridicule. "Humans! Cunning humans! You must have used your so-called magic to conjure these ores. You're cheating!"

"These ores were mined through everyone's hard work, not mine alone," Batman said. "They know every piece of ore here. They can call each one by name. This is the fruit of their labor."

"How dare you talk back to the great Lord Jacob?!" A minor overseer behind the chief overseer stepped forward, pointing at Batman. "Jacob will throw you into the lava if you disobey him!"

"That's the only trick you have," Batman said coldly. "Threatening to throw anyone into the lava, including the Imps."

It was as though Batman had stepped on Chief Overseer Jacob's tail. He shrieked furiously, "Catch him! Catch him! I'll whip him to death!!! I'll chop him into eight pieces!!!"

Batman snorted and dodged the incoming whip, then began leading the overseers in circles through the mine.

Batman's work over the past several days had not been for nothing. He had memorized every protrusion in the rock walls and mapped countless routes in his mind. As he ran, his cape billowed and his body moved with agility, like a real bat swooping over the demons' heads, yet no one could truly touch him.

Human bodies were far less powerful than demon bodies, but they had one advantage: exceptional flexibility and coordination. Unlike many demons with powerful arms, humans did not become top-heavy and struggle to maintain their balance when moving.

Batman's physical condition was among the best even by human standards. He pushed the advantages of the human body to their limits, leaping from one platform to another, jumping again to grab a protrusion in the rock layer, swinging hard, vaulting
