Batman stood atop the highest mound of earth, looking down at all the demons. In a deep voice, he said, "The shadow demons in the mine tunnels witnessed everything that just happened. If what the overseer said was true, then General Corrupt Heart may already know that a riot has broken out in the mines. There's no turning back now."

As soon as his words fell, many demons began to tremble. The reason these demons had remained in the mines for so long, becoming slaves who dug ore, was mainly because their races possessed serious inherent flaws and simply could not contend with soldiers. Once a conflict broke out, they could only wait where they stood to die.

In Hell, the various races were not born equal.

Trolls were huge and possessed tremendous strength in their arms, and they could use tools as well. But because of their skeletal structure, their lower limbs did not provide sufficient support. They moved slowly, turned clumsily, and had no way to escape.

Serpent Demons had powerful jumping ability and explosive speed over short distances, but their snake tails were unsuitable for long marches, making migration impossible.

Red Demons had bodily structures similar to humans and developed in a relatively balanced manner, but in Hell, being too small was their greatest weakness.

Not to mention the obviously flawed lesser demons, Shadow Monsters, and other subordinate demons. The gap between demons was even greater than the gap between demons and humans.

The reason these deeply flawed demon races had not been eliminated through natural evolution was that Hell, like Heaven, was a high-magic environment. Most demons did not need to spend half of every day eating and sleeping just to survive, as humans did.
