Ch. 1520C Twilight Event (27)

In this chapter, Bruce Wayne, now fully in control of his Batman persona, collects all the fragments of the Heart of Darkness and completes it in the Batcave. Upon activation, the Heart of Darkness manifests as Eclipse, the Spirit of Vengeance, who Bruce tries to reason with, but to no avail. Instead, he summons Gabriel, the Archangel, and offers him the Heart of Darkness as a gift, convincing Gabriel to take it back to Heaven to challenge the hypocrisy of the angels who don't understand him. Meanwhile, Schiller, who had been helping Bruce, becomes suspicious of Bruce's intentions but decides to keep an eye on him. Bruce later finds Red Robin injured in Greenwich and is hit by a falling angel's wings, causing him to sprout holy wings and speak reassuringly to Red Robin.
