<Hell Wanted Poster - Korlion>
[Synopsis]: Korlion, the Shadow Crawler, killed his comrades on the battlefield to save his own life and sucked their spinal cords. He was later discovered and permanently exiled, his spine stained gray.
There was no news for the next three years.
Until last year, some trade insects that came by ship from the Hell's Dark Side were killed shortly after leaving Navel Port. Their goods were stolen, and their heads and skin were completely stripped off.
Due to serious violations of the rules of hell, Wanted Poster was issued Sin Chamber of the Grand Monastery.
[Hell Rank]: Eve of Ascension (Gate appears to have been built)
[Spine Type and Quality]: Fluid Dragon Spine, S-grade.
[Main Area of Activity]: Coastal area (Bright Side), its main targets are the evil individual - insects that leave from the Navel Port.
[Wanted Restrictions]: Only the Devil between Hell Object Maturity and Ascension can accept Wanted Poster, and no more than three demons may do so. Those above their level are not allowed to interfere; otherwise, they will be penalized with several times their Hellish Contribution and given a severe warning.
[Reward Requirements]: Kill Korlion and throw part of his corpse into any Hell Rift to receive a medium Hell Contribution.
The innkeeper stroked his greasy chin, looking at the Wanted Poster in front of him.
"Korlion! If I had known, I would have sold it for money long ago."
The port is now plastered with notices about this guy. Even without a formal Wanted Poster from your corps, we already have a bounty on his head.
To be honest, this guy is pretty impressive.
Spines are usually good at frontal combat, but this guy is even more cunning than those insects. He can hide in unseen places and attack passing insects, and he almost always finishes his job quickly without ever being exposed.
I'm sorry, I'm not able to get the monastery's coins.
Do you need a hotel? Even monks need to pay for their stay in Navel Port. I hope you can find this Wanted Criminal soon.
"How long will this silver coin last in your cleanest suite?"
"Seven days."
"Make a deal."
The shopkeeper casually slipped the silver coin into his hand.
He then squeezed his stomach hard, and something was visibly rising up his throat.
Gulp! A ball-shaped stone covered in pus was vomited into the palm of the hand, then wiped clean with the moldy tablecloth on the counter.
This is the key.
Simply feed this stuff to the "door," and the guest room will open.
The living door also absorbs the Pheromone of the person who placed it, and will continue to remember and automatically open the door before the person checks out.
This one-bedroom suite is considered luxurious in Navel Port.
Of course, although it looks like a guesthouse suite in the Human World, it is actually quite different.
Special care needs to be taken with water-related equipment, as you have no idea what the liquid coming out of the tap might contain, or it might not even be water at all.
"Not bad... not too dirty."
Agatha had already placed her mount in the inn's mount room, and she plopped down on the soft bed.
A seemingly normal Simmons bed,
In reality, it is made of highly flexible tumor material, which is much softer and more comfortable than a Simmons mattress. As long as you can accept it psychologically, your sleep quality will definitely be very high.
As for bedding, it is a specially treated proliferating scabbard that is soft and warm.
Luo Di's thoughts, however, remained on the Wanted Poster that had just been shown, and he raised questions about Wanted Poster contents:
"Agatha, I feel like there's something strange about this Wanted Poster ... It's a so-called hellish wanted poster. It seems like they don't want to kill this criminal directly, and are even helping him ascend to demonhood in some way."
If he is truly an unforgivable sinner, simply have a powerful figure eliminate him.
"You're right~ This is the True Hell, or rather, the will of hell."
The rules set by the world are fundamentally designed to ensure the stable growth of hell.
Wanted Criminal are those who threaten the ecology of Hell, but if their value outweighs the threat they pose, Hell will give them a chance.
This Wanted Poster is two-way.
We will give a very high reward if we can hunt him down.
If the Wanted Criminal can completely kill the Devil of the same rank who come to hunt him down, thereby completing his special demon ascension, the Wanted Poster will be lifted.
The Spinewalkers will also receive the news, and may even send people to welcome the Great Demon back; his exiled status will be completely erased.
"In order to maintain relative stability in the world, is everything done in the name of cultivating the strong?"
"That's right, this is the fundamental reason why the True Hell can keep growing and constantly invade other worlds."
"As long as we can create a supreme demon king, it doesn't matter if hundreds of millions or even billions of the Devil die."
Luo Di nodded and continued talking about the Wanted Poster: "Well, how is an investigation usually conducted? Besides providing individual information and a general area of activity, what other uses do Wanted Poster have?"
"That's all the information we can provide. We'll have to investigate on our own from now on."
"Later, I'll go directly to the administrators of Navel Port as a monk to get the most direct information. You can come with me; the identity of a monk is very useful."
"Hmm..." Luo Di went to the balcony of the guest room and looked at the lighthouse that stood on the edge of the harbor and soared into the sky.
"I want to go to the lighthouse... The Lamp Room at the very top seems to be connected to the Spine People; perhaps it will hold some clues."
"Alright, let's split up tomorrow morning and meet back here if we get any news. That's all for today, traveling is really tiring, I don't want to move once I lie down."
To reach Navel Port a day earlier, the two skipped a rest stop and cycled for a full twenty hours.
Agatha fell back onto the specially made bed for the tumor patients, her body completely out of her control, and she immediately fell asleep, her loud snores emanating from between the metal tubes in her neck.
Of course, she deliberately lay down on one side of the large bed, leaving about a third of the space empty.
Luo Di didn't disturb the other person and prepared to fall asleep on the sofa in the living room.
Caw! The crow that had been perched on the back of the sofa instantly transformed into a soft, black pillow stuffed with feathers, a soothing and sleep-inducing pillow.
I'm really sleepy.
Just as Luo Di lay down to sleep,
Because the curtains weren't drawn, and his sleeping position offered a view of the lighthouse outside the window.
The enormous eyeballs rotating in the Lamp Room were shooting out intense light, seemingly guiding ships crossing the sea to safety.
Perhaps it's because of my concern for the lighthouse, but when I close my eyes, I always feel like light is shining on me.
Left with no other choice, he got up to close the curtains.
As Luo Di moved toward the window and reached for the leather-like curtains, whoosh! The lights that were supposed to guide the ship suddenly shifted.
The sunlight shone through the window onto Luo Di.
The scorching light seemed to pierce through the skull, and the intense light filled the field of vision, making it impossible to see anything else. The eyeballs seemed to boil and evaporate under such illumination.
Buzz!
After a loud ringing in the ears, the bright light disappeared.
Under the cover of night,
The rolling waves caressed the rocks like tentacles.
Luo Di was no longer in the suite, nor in the bustling city. Instead, he stood beneath the lighthouse on the city's edge, a place where no one approached.
The rotten door at the base of the lighthouse has been completely opened to it.
There seemed to be a voice calling to him from deep within.
My back started to feel warm.
