Letter
Moonlight seeped in and spilled onto the pure white tiles of the balcony.
Luo Di was doing bicep curls with a dumbbell in one hand.
He was eating a steamed bun with vegetables that he had made himself.
I sit alone in the living room, enjoying my favorite B-movie.
However, the DVD I'm using tonight is a temporary rental, a new film strongly recommended by a portly Image Store owner. Strangely, there's not even a title on the DVD box, and the back of the DVD has a grayish sheen.
The movie's plot, however, was very much to Luo Di's liking.
Before we knew it, the nearly two-hour movie had ended.
Bathed in the moonlight after completing his massacre, the killer reached out and removed his mask, revealing a face that was exactly the same as Luo Di's.
At that moment, the moonlight that streamed in through the window fell precisely on Luo Di.
The line between film and reality is blurred by this layer of gray moonlight.
Buzz!
Luo Di suddenly woke up with a start.
He was suspended in the familiar Repair Center, with numerous neural connections on his back constantly supplying nutrients.
Compared to the previous Ancestor's Injury, this was nothing. Luo Di's core spine was not injured, but the nutrients inside and outside the Old Spine had been almost completely drained, and even the bone marrow was almost completely depleted, so it urgently needed external energy to replenish itself.
When Luo Di wakes up, it means that his Old Spine has been restored to a usable state. Even without using these nerves, Luo Di can recover on his own by eating.
As he conveyed his conscious intention, the nerves connected to his back automatically retracted.
Unlike human hospitals, which require attending physicians to determine whether a patient has recovered, hospitals here can make their own judgments.
As soon as Luo Di landed on the ground and was still changing clothes, there was a knock on the ward door.
"Come in."
When the door lock was turned, a heavy pressure came at the same time, and Luo Di even had to actively control his spine to support it.
The next second, she felt two irresistible, wall-like arms embrace her, and a head of white hair pressed against her.
"Agatha, congratulations on your ascension to the demon realm."
The latter slowly released his arm, his small pupils fixed on Luo Di.
Agatha's appearance hasn't changed much, but Luo Di can sense that her inner self is completely different. Her weight is estimated to be over several tons, and the density of metal inside her body is beyond imagination.
"You've completed your Hell Path, so you should be away for a long time, right?"
"Yes, my materials for opening the gate are not here. I will come back to build the Gate of Demon Ascension once I have prepared the materials."
"Okay, remember to call me when the time comes. I need to urgently return to the monastery with Lord Hook for a detailed check-up and registration after my ascension."
Oh, right! The class monitor has already left. This is a letter she left, asking me to give it to you.
"Good."
Luo Di had already guessed that the class monitor was leaving.
Not to mention that the time for the Incarnation Descent is limited,
Now that Wei Junzhe's avatar has been killed here, his true form will immediately fall into a weakened state. The squad leader only needs to rush back immediately to take this opportunity to completely eliminate this extremely threatening entity.
Upon careful consideration,
Wei Junzhe, this monster, must have a significant background depths of the Corner. If Luo Di were to encounter his true form, he would have no chance of defeating him.
The ability to take photos has, to some extent, surpassed conventional biological concepts; it's simply too exaggerated.
Just as Agatha was about to leave, she suddenly stopped at the door. "I knew it," she said. "The class monitor in the story must be very capable."
Thank you, Luo Di! Remember to come find me next time, and we'll continue your story with the class monitor after you left school.
"Good."
With Agatha's departure,
Luo Di's legs went weak, and he had to lean against the wall.
The ordinary hug just now had dislocated all the bones in his body; clearly, Agatha, who had just ascended to demonhood, hadn't had time to adapt to this new power.
"Can demonic ascension bring such a big improvement? That makes sense... Just like Pseudo-Human becoming a monster, there will be a qualitative improvement overall."
But I can't rush things; my door has only just begun to be built.
Luo Di closed his eyes, his consciousness traveling to the Pituitary Space that belonged only to him.
Here, one can directly examine the development of their own pituitary gland. The huge pituitary gland hanging in the hall has already presented a perfect lunar state and is even radiating moonlight outwards.
The ground here has also turned into bone, corresponding to the top of the spine used to support the pituitary gland.
However, besides the pituitary gland and Luo Di, there is one more thing here.
A corpse,
A corpse, murdered under the moonlight.
It was Wei Junzhe's corpse.
It may seem like it was just casually thrown here, but it's actually the first step in a major project.
Buzz!
Luo Di didn't stay in the Pituitary Space (self- Consciousness Space) for long. He only needed to confirm the existence of the corpse and that the prey killed under the moonlight could be collected into the Pituitary Space in the form of a "conscious" corpse.
When Luo Di walked out of the ordinary ward...
The boss, David, was standing outside the door with his belly sticking out.
Just as Luo Di was about to express his gratitude, the other person's greasy face was already beaming with smiles, and the Curtain Eye Sockets was completely pulled back, revealing what appeared to be a band playing music inside.
The boss's right hand was inside his pocket.
He took out a movie disc titled "Moonlight Clings to Bone".
"Luo Di, you're amazing! Last night I worked with the technicians to finish the movie editing and DVD production. This is the first version of the DVD, with a total runtime of 114 minutes."
The initial version of the disc will not be officially released yet. Further technical processing will be carried out, and some scenes and plots may be added later.
I guess you'll be leaving Hell for a while, so keep this safe and don't let it get out of reach of anyone. This disc is actually a special amoeba in disguise, so it should be able to be brought back to Earth. You can try to copy it later.
Next, I will begin the publicity and promotion work.
In the early stages, I will send out as many bugs as possible to spread information about the movie and release some trailers through thought processes.
About a week from now, our Grand Theater will have the prison premiere.
The official DVD will be released a month after the film's theatrical run. By then, the entire underworld should know you and the threat to your world, the threat from the corner.
Worlds that would normally have little chance of intersecting will likely meet sooner because of this.
Of course, that's probably a few years from now.
"Thank you, boss."
"I should be thanking you..." A huge hand gripped Luo Di's shoulder, leaning closer. "Let me tell you a secret, I've actually been getting a bit tired of the Grand Theater, and even a bit bored with Hell as a whole. Your world is much more interesting. I've already made arrangements with Hawke and Oculus."
Who knows, we might have a chance to meet over there.
Of course, given that the cinematic mode is being used in Grand Theater for the first time, and as I just explained, I'll be staying here and working on it for a while.
I might come over when I'm free.
Also, don't worry, the matter at the Fifth Hospital is only discussed internally by the three of us. It won't cause any harm to your world; we're just there for tourism.
"Okay... okay."
Luo Di smiled awkwardly. He couldn't imagine what it would be like for three high-ranking beings from the True Hell to travel to the Human World through the Fifth Hospital, their World Anchor Point.
"Oh, right! Now that you've recovered, come out and show me something."
Led by their boss David, the two took the hospital elevator to the top floor.
The city's nerves, which connect the cable cars, now branch off in many directions, reaching directly into the sky above the capital city of the absurdity.
Meanwhile, thousands of insects were flying around there, seemingly responsible for constructing some special project, corresponding to a huge celestial sphere, which is currently only in its core stage.
Is this... the moon?
"That's right! The [moon] you presented in the movie is very interesting. Our bad movie needs a light source, so I personally funded the construction of one to see how it would look."
After all, my photography studio also absorbed your moonlight, which can be used as a base reference.
It should be fixed by the time you come next time.
Okay, you pack your things yourself, I have a lot of things to do.
"Goodbye, boss."
Luo Di stood alone on the rooftop, looking at the lunar construction project underway, and took out the letter that his squad leader had left him.
The above are all very ordinary greetings, words of thanks and gratitude for the averting danger.
After a quick glance, Luo Di put the letter away.
Just then,
The lunar construction project, which was underway, seemed to be experiencing an electrical leak. Just then, a ray of light shone down and landed on the letter in my hand.
Luo Di also suddenly noticed something.
He immediately activated his spine, scanning the paper again with a special moonlight vision, noticing the faint swirling patterns emerging from the paper's veins.
That put his mind at ease.
Knowing the squad leader's situation, he didn't need to rush; he could make all the necessary preparations before going over.
