Two options lay before Luo Di.

1. Follow the unknown eyeball's suggestion and head to the side door marked in his vision, using it to enter the dungeon and avoid being discovered by the Old Days individual that was about to appear at the main entrance.

2. Find somewhere to hide for the time being, try to observe the Old Days individual that might appear at the main entrance, then make a decision.

If this eyeball had been an ally, Luo Di would undoubtedly have chosen the first option.

However,

the eyeball itself was an [Evil thing] that wanted him dead, constantly crawling out of the darkness to mentally influence him and suppress his sleep.

Naturally, Luo Di would not accept the "kind reminder" of such an evil thing. That so-called Back Gate was most likely the most dangerous place instead.
