Publicly Disclosable Intelligence: Connectors
Publicly available intelligence - Connector
1956
An expedition led by explorer Igor Diatlov, representing Sue, travels to the Lost Island Nation.
Prior to this,
The two superpowers have already dispatched multiple professional teams to the area, whose exploration experience, equipment, and level of weaponry far surpass those of this ordinary civilian expedition team.
Diatlov's team became the first expedition to survive for more than a month in the Lost Island Nation, and they also sent their important discoveries back to their country.
This includes various conditions related to the formation of "Physical Corner," light suppression, and so on.
Behind what appears to be a world-shaking feat lies an exceptionally tragic end for the team.
Of the entire squad, only the captain, Igor Diatlov, survived.
His survival was not due to luck, but rather because he witnessed the deaths and disappearances of his teammates, and was also threatened with death himself. These factors stimulated him to unleash superhuman strength.
According to Diatlov's account, his consciousness seemed to have traveled to another world, where he gained some kind of "supernatural" power. This power allowed him to escape the combined pursuit of the monster and the corner, and he successfully escaped with the team's investigation results.
The changes that occurred to Diatlov were recognized by Sue at the time as those of a true "super soldier".
It was for this reason that the Soviet Union turned its attention entirely to the Lost Island Nation, and quietly shifted the funds that should have been used for the L War, trying its best to keep this from other countries, especially its competitors.
later,
As information in the corner becomes more transparent, more and more expeditions from different countries are able to survive in the Lost Land for extended periods, and even the few explorers who do survive change when faced with extreme situations.
This change was formally defined with the establishment of the World Bureau (EIA).
Its name is "World Connection".
Individuals who make World Connection are called "connectors".
They often connect to a world they once imagined, based on their individual experiences and personalities, and draw special power from it.
This power can greatly enhance oneself, enabling one to fight against monsters spawned from corners, and even to subjectively explore corners.
It has now been determined that "World Connection" can only be formed when located in a lost land, on land with threats in the corner.
Furthermore, the conditions for forming a "World Connection" are extremely stringent, including the following known conditions:
1. When directly or indirectly involved in events related to the 'corner',
2. Encountering extreme death threats,
3. An unprecedented and intense emotional fluctuation occurred.
4. The individual possesses exceptional talent in a particular area.
Once an individual becomes a connector, they are generally not affected by the mindset of those in the corner.
However, even though a new nation has now been re-established on the Lost Island Nation, a large number of immigrants have come here to live under preferential policies, resulting in a population base of over 100 million.
Very few individuals across the country have formed a "World Connection".
To truly cultivate and train a large-scale team capable of counter Imposters, ensuring national stability, and even confronting those in dire straits, relying solely on "World Connection" is far from sufficient.
We must approach this from a different angle and find other methods.
