Discharge from Hospital
[Fifth Hospital - Third Floor of the Comprehensive Building]
A series of screams from the Dean's Office echoed throughout the corridor.
There was no pattern to the calls; they were just irregular.
The cleaning ladies who were supposed to clean for the dean had to leave temporarily, as they felt that listening to the sound too much would lead to strange associations.
Inside the office,
The dean had already locked the door.
His face was full of worry, and he kept scratching his bald head with both hands. If he had any hair left, he probably would have scratched it all off.
He had known Luo Di for some time, but Luo Di's behavior in the office today was unlike anything he had ever seen before, and it was even stranger than usual.
Not long after entering, Luo Di took off his coat, exposing his entire bionic left arm.
The dean initially thought he wanted something, so he tried to give it to him, and the following was given:
1. Remove an arm from the 1:1 scale mannequin in the office.
2. A stethoscope with a long, flexible tube.
3. A handmade item donated by a patient who was discharged a few days ago: a caterpillar made of wire.
After the three items were placed on the table in turn, Luo Di's left hand did not come down; instead, he began to scream in agony, louder than ever before.
Even the dean was shaken to his core by the sound.
He wanted to call the doctor to come and check, but considering that Luo Di had specifically emphasized to him that the two of them should not have anyone interrupt the process during their conversation, the dean could only be patient.
Time passed second by second, but Luo Di's screams showed no sign of stopping.
The dean also vaguely noticed something wriggling under the skin of the other person's raised left arm.
Seeing this, the dean recalled some massage techniques he had learned in medical school when he was young, and tried massaging Luo Di's left arm, hoping it might relieve the pain.
After a simple massage, although the screams continued, they seemed to have subsided somewhat.
Seeing that it was truly effective, the dean became completely focused, as if he had truly returned to his youth, and earnestly massaged his entire left arm.
As the massage continued, the director also sensed some problems.
Initially, the bionic arm could feel hard lumps resembling metallic tissue beneath the skin, but after more than ten minutes of massage, these lumps became fewer and fewer, and the touch became more and more like real flesh and blood.
Sudden...
Whoosh!
The dean's finger, which he used for massage, was cut by something, and blood was flowing freely, even dripping onto Luo Di's bionic left arm.
"Wow! What is that?"
The dean looked at his cut finger. Fortunately, the wound wasn't too deep, so it wasn't a big problem.
When he looked up at Luo Di's left arm again, he found there were no sharp objects on it. Most strangely, the blood that had dripped from his cut had disappeared, as if absorbed by the arm.
at the same time,
Luo Di stopped screaming and slowly lowered his left arm, putting it back into his sleeve.
His bewildered eyes gradually regained their focus, and his thoughts returned to reality.
Luo Di was filled with disbelief and was about to raise his left arm to examine it more closely when... Buzz! A loud ringing sound swept over him.
He suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground. The hospital director immediately called the doctor and then carried the young man to the elevator with his own body, which was over sixty years old, to shorten the treatment process as much as possible.
After a series of examinations, it was found that Luo Di had fainted due to overwork and only needed to rest for a while to recover. He was placed in a regular ward and given glucose intravenously.
The hospital director accompanied the entire inspection process, only feeling relieved after confirming that the person was alright.
The medical staff wanted to move the unconscious Luo Di to a bed, which would require removing his backpack.
Strange things happened. Despite being unconscious, Luo Di would have a stress response when someone tried to take his bag. He would try to push away the people around him and even show aggressive tendencies.
Upon seeing this, the dean immediately stopped the IV drip and told Luo Di to just sit down and receive the infusion.
The dean couldn't help but wonder what might be inside the backpack, but he suppressed his curiosity and warned everyone present not to touch it.
After Luo Di's matter was settled, a careful nurse noticed that the dean's right hand, which was hanging between his trouser legs, seemed to still be bleeding. Although only a drop of blood would fall every few seconds, it showed no sign of stopping.
She quickly stepped forward and used the medical tools she was carrying to help treat the patient.
"Dean, what's this thing inside your finger?"
During the disinfection process, the nurse actually used tweezers to pick out a very thin wire, and it was this thing that caused the bleeding to continue.
The dean looked at the thin, hot wire, feeling a sense of familiarity with it, and put it in his pocket. "It was just an accidental cut, it's nothing! Okay, everyone, stop arguing with him."
The nurse in charge of the care should remember to check on the patient in the ward every now and then, and if there are no problems, try not to have contact with him.
I'm going back to rest.
"Take care, Dean!"
The on-duty nurses could see the condition of the ward directly through the monitor at the nurses' station, and Luo Di was in good condition.
However, just half an hour later, the monitor in Luo Di's ward malfunctioned, and the screen was filled with static.
The nurse immediately called the hospital's maintenance staff, and then one person went over to check the situation and make sure Luo Di's IV drip was working properly.
The moment she opened the hospital room door with her key card,
Hiss!
The finger holding the key card was cut, and some irregular hook-like objects popped out from the crack in the door.
Before the nurse could even check the condition of the finger, she was stunned by the scene inside the ward.
The once simple and spacious hospital room was now filled with thin, long wires, making it difficult to find a gap for a person to pass through. A slight misstep could result in being scratched by these wires.
Not only that, but there were also rusty animal traps scattered on the ground.
The cause of her finger injury was a hook mechanism installed in the door lock, which, while not fatal, was very uncomfortable.
This is just like a trap room set up by a deranged criminal in a horror movie.
Just as the nurse was at a loss,
Luo Di woke up while sitting deep inside the room. His dark eyes startled the nurse so much that she took two steps back and fell to the ground with a thud.
As luck would have it, the repairman arrived at that moment and helped the nurse up from the ground.
Just as she was about to recount the horrific situation in the ward, the young man inside came out, his eyes now back to normal.
The ward he stayed in was spotless, with no barbed wire or animal traps, and no hooks or mechanisms on the door lock, as if the nurse had just made a mistake.
However, when the technician was repairing the camera in the ward, he accidentally found an extra wire in the cable, and it was this wire that caused the short circuit.
Discharged smoothly from the hospital.
Before being discharged from the hospital, Luo Di made a special trip to the Dean's Office to express his gratitude and to say that he would not be returning for the time being.
"Okay, if you need anything in the future, just come to our Fifth Hospital. I'm used to it anyway, and being bothered like this by you every now and then makes me feel young again."
Oh, right! The security guard just called to say that one of your friends came all the way from out of town to visit you. Considering you're about to be discharged, we didn't let her in; she's waiting for you at the hospital gate.
Your discharge procedures have already been completed. Take good care of yourself after you leave the hospital, and talk to your friends often.
"Thank you, Dean."
Luo Di didn't ask who the dean was, since there weren't many people who could be considered his "friends".
Sling your backpack tight,
Leaving the hospital,
Even before reaching the gate, a familiar figure could be seen; the fully armed security guards looked rather short next to this person.
The other person seemed to have seen Luo Di as well, waving his strong arm.
"You've grown a little taller?"
Anna was wearing a white printed (grizzly bear) t-shirt and oversized jeans, with shoulder-length blonde hair and a height of nearly 188cm, actually came here.
When she met Luo Di,
Although his eyes were filled with joy, they also contained a few impurities.
