Xilantis seemed to have noticed this sudden change, and its instinctive resistance to the dream invasion immediately began to take effect. Towering waves churned across the sea, and the waters affected by the giant tree transformed into towering barriers seemingly covered in fanged blades, crashing down upon the Lost Homeland's prow with crushing force. Amid the howling waves, countless hazy phantoms began to emerge from the storm. They resembled an ancient army, mixed with the distorted illusions of countless birds and beasts, so warped that their original forms could no longer be recognized. Like an overwhelming tide, they surged through the gaps between the waves and charged toward the ghost ship burning amid the gale and swells.
Yet the Lost Homeland made no attempt to evade the oncoming storm. Instead, its sails billowed further, and its speed increased again.
Faint green flames erupted from every crack in the decks, every cabin window, and every gunport, as if they intended to set the entire sea ablaze. This living fire racing over the ocean crashed directly into the storm formed of nightmare phantoms.
The towering waves were scorched by the flames, vaporizing into enormous breaches.
