The enormous demon with twelve symmetrical limbs and a human face finally lumbered away. Beneath the lofty Starry Sky dome, her silhouette gradually twisted and merged into the distant chaos. Where she had stood, only black bones and flesh littered the ground, slowly disintegrating and rising into the air, along with dozens of battered "native creatures" struggling to regain their strength.
Several Abyssal Hounds struggled up from the piles of bones, the bone plates on their bodies already shattered and incomplete. Death's Herald circled above the lifeless remains, searching for useful matter that could restore its strength. The enormous spiked skull slowly descended onto the ground nearby, its dark red hollow eye sockets watching the demons on the plain.
After the higher demon departed, a fragile and dangerous balance formed among the remaining Abyssal Demons. But that brief balance was about to be broken.
Once their shared fear faded, their instincts for conflict and destruction would regain the upper hand—mutual slaughter and devouring were the eternal logic of the Abyssal Deep Sea, especially when "food" was everywhere and every demon needed to recover from its injuries as quickly as possible.
The Abyssal Hounds rummaging through the bone piles for usable fragments were the first to growl hostilely at the Death's Herald circling overhead. Next came the Smog Jellyfish emerging from the shadows, quietly extending their twisted, sinister tentacles toward the nearby Fear Demons. The black skull gradually rose from the ground as well, its jaws slowly opening, dangerous energy swirling within...
