Admissions and Student Life

Applicants present recommendation letters at the eastern gate before being recorded and escorted to registration. Ye Qingchen and Huo Yuhao entered as freshmen during the annual recruitment period 5.

The academy’s yearly schedule includes an eleven-month study period, followed by a one-month break intended for training and consolidating learned material rather than leisure. Advancement examinations follow the break, and students who fail are expelled 24.

Shrek Academy is publicly regarded as the continent’s foremost academy and enters the All-Continent Advanced Soul Master Academy Soul Duel Tournament as its defending champion 38 40.

During the tournament, Shrek’s dark-green uniforms, front-row placement, spacious rest area, and dedicated attendants reflected its exceptional standing among the participating academies 39 41. Its youthful reserve lineup initially drew widespread surprise, but opponents and spectators remained wary of the academy’s reputation 39 40.

Exchange Programs

Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy Exchange

Shrek participated in a reciprocal student exchange with Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy. Shrek students studied at Sun Moon while Sun Moon students were sent to Shrek, with both groups exchanging positions in Maple Leaf City 60.

• Yan Shaozhe stated that Sun Moon’s exchange students would receive substantive instruction at Shrek 60.
• Shrek students returned after their studies, welcomed by their peers and Dean Yan 69.
• Shrek Academy later reached an agreement with the Cold Sect: the Cold Sect Soul Tool Hall would become a leading destination for graduates of Shrek’s Soul Tool Department 97.

Major Events

Tournament Crisis and Championship

An extermination mission inflicted losses on the academy, while Xuan Lao resigned in response to the incident. Despite its weakened position, teacher Wang Yan led Shrek’s team to Star Luo City for the continental tournament 38. The academy ultimately retained its championship after defeating Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy 55 56.

Sea God Pavilion Reception

After the championship, Shrek’s deans brought the returning team to the Sea God Pavilion for rewards. Mu Lao remained invested in protecting the academy’s younger generation despite his poor health 56.

Beast Tide Defense

Following the death of the Auspicious Beast, Di Tian led a Soul Beast army against Shrek City. Teachers and students took defensive positions on the city walls, while Xuan Lao confronted Di Tian 98.

The Golden Tree’s protective power expanded from the academy across Shrek City twice during the siege. Its second activation imposed an immense energy cost, while Mu Lao and Xuan Lao worked to contain Di Tian 99.

Bloodline Activation Research

After the Beast Tide, Shrek Academy’s venerable elders worked with Ye Qingchen to share bloodline-activation research with the wider world. Volunteers from the three empires and Shrek Academy gathered near the Star Dou Great Forest for the resulting experiment 100.
