The moment he stepped out of the transmission passage, a clamor filled his ears. He instinctively raised a hand to shield his eyes, squinting slightly as he looked up at the sky.
The wondrous sight in the sky made Xiao Ran tilt his head slightly. To him, the sky seemed layered. The first layer was a clean, clear lower sky, dotted with only a few clouds. In the second layer, that clarity gradually turned grayish-white. The third layer was directly transformed into a vast, boundless starry universe, endless deep blue and black filled with countless points of starlight.
In Xiao Ran's eyes, the sky seemed to hold both day and night at once. Though there was no sun, the first layer shone like daytime, while beneath that daylight, the beauty of the starry sky could be seen at a glance. It reminded him of the same scene from a movie he had once watched—Thor. The image in the film had been much the same, but seeing it with his own eyes was entirely different. For a moment, Xiao Ran even felt as though his heart had broadened.
It was several minutes before Xiao Ran finally came back to his senses from the beautiful view and remembered what he was supposed to be doing. Lowering his head, the chaotic noise once again filled his ears. He saw that both sides of the long passage outside the transmission channel were now lined with tables of all shapes and styles. Holographic Projection screens were everywhere, and many people stood in groups of two or three, or argued with those behind the tables.
Looking toward the end of the passage, he saw enormous buildings rising in neat rows. From Xiao Ran's angle, those buildings stood along two branching lines, arranged flawlessly into a triangle
