Xiao Ran brought New Zeon and Federal forces under the Victory Fleet’s cause, exposed the Federation’s illegitimacy, and pushed for a unified government. As signs of another world-merging crisis emerged, he prepared the fleet for Iskandar but first divided it to confront the Colony Laser Cannon, the Federation headquarters, and Doctor Hell’s Mechanical Beast Legion.

• Xiao Ran welcomed New Zeon and Federal soldiers into the Victory Fleet, then moved to stop New Zeon’s attack on Dakar and proposed dissolving both governments in favor of a unified council.
• New Zeon attacked Dakar without evacuating civilians, and the Victory Fleet protected the city while Bright revealed the Original Constitution and declared the Federation government illegitimate.
• Xiao Ran used Dawn’s Wings of Light to devastate New Zeon’s forces, while Roland defected to the New Federation and Gendo Ikari took charge of organizing its council.
• After the Victory Fleet’s forces helped repel the Apostle in Tokyo-3, Gedim attacked Yamato, seriously wounded Soji Okita, and forced him to deploy VangNess.
• Princess Sarah told Xiao Ran that the worlds were merging again and would suffer disasters within months, so Xiao Ran set a one-week deadline to settle Earth’s conflict before leaving for Iskandar.
• When New Zeon’s Sleeves prepared to drop a Colony Satellite on Earth, Xiao Ran and Mwu gathered Unity, Old Zeon, and allied forces to intercept it while presenting the crisis as a cause for unity.
• The Victory Fleet destroyed the Colony Satellite, but Xiao Ran learned that Full Frontal’s forces had stolen the Colony Laser Cannon from Axis and that Doctor Hell’s Mechanical Beast Legion was expanding.
• Xiao Ran split the Victory Fleet into three operations against the Mechanical Beast Legion, the Colony Laser Cannon, and the Federation headquarters, then raced ahead in Dawn to help defend the Photon Power Research Institute.

Xiao Ran and the Victory Fleet defeated the Mycenaean Gods, but Kouji’s Mazinger Z transformed into Mazinger ZERO and threatened to consume his will. As the fleet reorganized Earth and prepared to confront Mazinger ZERO, an Angel-infected EVA attacked NERV, prompting an urgent deployment to Tokyo-3.

• Xiao Ran helped the allied forces repel the Mechanical Beast Legion, and Kouji Kabuto and Xiao Ran crippled King Gordon after Doctor Yumi awakened Mazinger Z’s power.
• Baron Ashura sacrificed himself to summon the Mycenaean Gods, and Hades descended to destroy humanity.
• Xiao Ran fought Hades until Kouji transformed Mazinger Z into Mazinger ZERO, which burned Hades to ashes.
• Xiao Ran warned Kouji that Mazinger ZERO was controlling him, and Kouji fled after realizing the machine had bound and manipulated him.
• Minerva X told Xiao Ran and the Victory Fleet that Mazinger ZERO had destroyed worlds across nearly 2,800 dimensions, and Xiao Ran resolved to save Kouji if possible.
• Xiao Ran reorganized Earth’s forces, brought New Zeon and the Dragon Clan into the Unity, and arranged for the Calculation Component to be delivered to the Dragon Kingdom.
• An Angel-infected EVA Unit 3 went out of control and attacked NERV’s Terminal Dogma, so Xiao Ran ordered the Victory Fleet to combat readiness and prepared to reach Tokyo-3.

The Victory Fleet fought the Impact Legion, Gedim, the Angels, and Mazinger ZERO beneath Tokyo-3. Kouji gained control of Mazinger, but the battle destroyed Tokyo-3 and left the fleet preparing repairs and upgrades before its next departure.

• Xiao Ran took command at NERV, ordered Gendo Ikari to halt mass-production EVA development, and led the Victory Fleet into battle against Gedim and the Angels.
• Xiao Ran recognized the unfamiliar Impact Legion among the enemy forces and coordinated the fleet through a shared mental battlefield view after communications and radar were disrupted.
• The Victory Fleet defeated the Impact Legion and Gedim, but the pilot of its giant MA escaped and destroyed it with an X Moonlight Cannon, damaging Basak and Cruze’s units.
• Shinji awakened Unit-01, rescued Asuka and Rei from Unit 3, and destroyed its core while Ryoma’s Getter Robo also transformed during the battle against the Angels.
• Mazinger ZERO broke into NERV, and Xiao Ran led the fleet’s pilots in a battle that battered the underground space while Kouji remained trapped inside the machine.
• As the dome collapsed, the Burning Legion cut through it with the Ideon Sword, and Sheryl’s song helped the exhausted pilots continue fighting Mazinger ZERO.
• Ryoma released Getter Ray into Mazinger, allowing Kouji to resist its control and take command of its power, while the Getter Ray shattered Mazinger Power and destroyed the last Apostle.
• The battle destroyed Tokyo-3 and injured many pilots, so Xiao Ran planned repairs and upgrades, and Kouji thanked him, and Sayaka and Tetsuya discussed getting Basak a Mazinger or Great Mazinger.

Xiao Ran completed the Victory Fleet’s upgrades, recruited Kaworu Nagisa and Full Frontal, and led the fleet through the Dragon God Aura’s jump toward Iskandar. After reaching the Great Magellan Galaxy, the fleet investigated a mysterious Space Gate, where Milene Link attacked the Yamato crew and Xiao Ran confronted her.

• Xiao Ran gathered scientists and technicians from both worlds to upgrade the Victory Fleet’s machines and warships, while Luo and Renard led the work on the Moon and at the True Science Fortress Research Institute.
• Xiao Ran supported the EVAs absorbing the Apostles’ S2 Engines, then kept them out of a battle against Gedim and invited Kaworu Nagisa to join the Victory Fleet.
• The Victory Fleet’s upgraded forces fought the rampaging Getter Dragon, and Ryoma Nagare faced Dr. Saotome before the doctor merged with the Getter Rays, and the fleet defeated the Mycenaean Gods and Metal Beast monsters.
• Full Frontal joined the Victory Fleet, and Xiao Ran led its departure toward Iskandar with Dragon God Aura’s help and Ruri Hoshino’s Boson Jump.
• Melda Ditz described Gamillas’s vast military and its ties to Iskandar, while Xiao Ran set a four-month deadline for reaching Iskandar and returning to Earth.
• The Victory Fleet followed the Yamato’s Automatic Navigation System to an enormous Space Gate, and Xiao Ran sent Basak, Luo, Sanada, Kodai Susumu, and Yuki Mori to investigate it.
• When the Yamato fell silent, Xiao Ran and Saki Maski found its crew unconscious from Hypnosis Gas, and Xiao Ran discovered Milene Link in the engine room preparing to make the ship self-destruct.
• Misaki identified Link as a Girel descendant who had used the Ruins to invade the crew’s minds, and Xiao Ran used his Brainwaves and Mental Power to lock onto her.
