Chapter 997: Mercenary Kuruzou
On an uninhabited island in the open waters off Japan, exposed to the wind on all sides, the Demon King Mecha, the Variable Fighter, and the transport helicopter from Danner's Son were all parked on the island. As Luo, El-Elf, and Luo Ba emerged from the transport aircraft carrying five people and shut its doors behind them, Xiao Ran also jumped down from the Variable Fighter and walked over to the five people thrown onto the ground.
Looking at the five sprawled or seated on the ground in different poses, Xiao Ran extended a hand toward El-Elf. The latter immediately drew a pistol from behind his waist and placed it in Xiao Ran's hand.
The five all wore different expressions as they watched Xiao Ran's movements: the twin sisters remained calm, Kuruzou wore a sinister smile, the goofy Blond Man looked utterly bewildered, and the lucky kid had panic in his eyes.
After taking the pistol, Xiao Ran pulled back the slide and aimed the muzzle at the Blond Man, Gates. His face was indifferent as he said, "Tell me, what use are you to me?"
"Ah?" Gates looked blankly at Xiao Ran. His eager expression seemed to be waiting for Xiao Ran to explain himself more clearly.
Seeing Gates like that, Xiao Ran sneered. "You're a lunatic, not an idiot. Tell me, what use are you to me?"
At Xiao Ran's words, beads of sweat appeared on Gates's face. His eyes darted around as he bared his teeth and cautiously said, "Amalgam intelligence?"
"El-Elf, take him over there. If he's useless or gives false intelligence, kill him immediately." Xiao Ran waved a hand, then aimed the gun at the sole survivor of the pursuit team after his attack. "What about you?"
