"Are we going?"
Inside the Dawn's cockpit, Mwu's image appeared on the screen, her voice sounding in Xiao Ran's ear as well.
Sitting in the cockpit, Xiao Ran nodded without hesitation. "We are."
Just before this, Juzo Okita, the captain of the Space Battleship Yamato that existed in Xiao Ran's memories, had invited Xiao Ran over for a talk. He said he could answer all of Xiao Ran's questions. Xiao Ran did indeed have some doubts even now, though he had roughly figured out what was going on.
Since Juzo Okita said they were the Federation, Xiao Ran believed without question that they truly were the Federation. The only possibility was that the Federation identity arranged by Prometheus was their Federation, not this Federation. But to understand things completely, he needed to speak with Juzo Okita. Besides, Xiao Ran hoped to use this opportunity to act alongside the Yamato in the time ahead.
Mwu seemed to understand Xiao Ran's thoughts as well. She nodded gently. "Understood. Then I'll go with you."
"Fine." After a moment's thought, Xiao Ran agreed to let Mwu accompany him to the Yamato, then ordered, "El-Elf, you have the bridge. Cruze, Graham, stay alert."
"Understood."
Xiao Ran guided his unit slowly toward the Burning Legion. After waiting several minutes, Mwu emerged from the Burning Legion alone in a new Variable Fighter. With both sides maintaining their guard, the two units entered the Yamato from its side, one after the other, following the guidance signals.
Compared to the Yamato, Xiao Ran's unit was already rather large. Judging from the Yamato's outward structure, it did not look as though it could possibly hold so many units. Yet after entering, Xiao Ran discovered that the Yamato was far more spacious inside than it appeared from the outside.
