Xiao Ran and Captain Okita stepped out of the Shuttlecraft together. When he saw Cruze, Graham, and Renard all wearing masks, he froze for a moment, utterly bewildered. Cruze wearing a mask was perfectly normal—he had long since grown used to living behind one.
Xiao Ran also knew that Graham had asked Luo to make him that grotesque mask to cover the scars he had received in OG World. Back then, Graham had deliberately chosen not to heal those scars, saying they would remind him not to be so impulsive in the future. But he had only worn the mask a handful of times in total.
Renard, on the other hand, had never worn a mask in his life. Yet now, he had somehow found one and put it on. That was the part Xiao Ran found most baffling.
"Uh, you guys?" Xiao Ran looked at the three of them, his expression rather strange. "What's going on here?"
"I saw the two of them wearing masks and wanted to try out how it felt." Renard smiled lightly and reached up to remove the mask from his face.
Graham said, "I was only worried that the scars on my face might frighten the guests. If there's no need for it, I can take it off."
Cruze spread his hands. "I'm just used to it. You know that."
"Heh." Xiao Ran turned to Captain Okita with an awkward smile. "These people have some rather quirky hobbies. Actually, I wear a mask sometimes too."
As he spoke, Xiao Ran raised a hand, and a black mask suddenly appeared in it, leaving everyone around him staring blankly.
"What a strange quirky hobby, hahaha." Captain Okita's mouth twitched as he forced out a laugh, feeling sweat break out on his forehead.
