In an instant, the white and black light began to fade away. A blackish-purple darkness as deep as space descended, countless points of starlight emerged, and flowing streams of light swirled all around. Everything before everyone's eyes changed in an instant.
"What? What's going on?"
"Where are we?"
"Did something happen again?"
"..."
The team immediately became chaotic and noisy. Though everyone said something different, they were all asking what had happened and where they were. The change in their surroundings was the reason for it. They were no longer standing before the Pillar of Dawn in the Founding United Nations, but had entered an unknown void.
"Everyone, look!"
A hurried, incredulous voice suddenly rang out over the comms. Before long, everyone present saw an unbelievable sight, and all of them were stunned.
Directly ahead, behind, and to their side, at positions forming a perfect triangle, three extraordinary planets had appeared. They were countless times larger than the other specks of starlight, seemingly real yet no more than phantom projections.
To everyone present, these three planets were utterly familiar. One was dark red, as though it had been contaminated by something. One was blood-red, faintly radiating an overall sense of bloodshed. The last was blue.
Yet in Xiao Ran's eyes, all three planets were the same planet—Earth.
"That is... Earth from the New Chronology World... our Earth?" Soji Okita stared at the dark-red planet, excitement appearing on his face. His lips moved in a murmur, as though he had seen something unbelievable, his expression filled with memories and longing.
Gido took a deep breath as well. "That one must be Earth from our Universal Century. Compared to those, Earth from the Western Calendar World is obviously the best-looking."
"The remaining one is from the Western Calendar World." Miss Huang spoke
