That evening, someone naturally came to escort the Burning Legion's people to the reception being held by Ragna. Basaka went, Cruze went, and they dragged a whole group along with them. In the end, more than twenty people attended Ragna's reception, some with their own purposes and some simply going along casually.
At the manor, the guests invited by Xiao Ran also arrived together. However, Sheryl came with the Valkyrie Squad.
The six arrivals were no longer wearing the Unified Government uniforms from that morning, but formal evening attire. Xiao Ran himself was relaxed and approachable. While he did not go outside the manor to receive them, he personally came out and welcomed them at the entrance to the dining hall.
After getting out of the car, Sheryl walked over to Xiao Ran. After lightly hugging him, she took two little creatures from Yao Bacania, who had followed behind her, then held them up and said to Xiao Ran, "Well? Aren't they cute?"
Xiao Ran lowered his head and looked at what Sheryl was holding. One was an animal that looked like a cat but had a fish tail, small and covered in pink fur. It truly was quite adorable. The other was even smaller than that kind of Ragna sea cat, like a cartoon mouse with a fish tail. Its tail had several differently colored bands. Both creatures were amphibians found only on Laguna Planet.
"Not bad." Xiao Ran nodded lightly, and Sheryl smiled. "I think they're pretty cute too. Yao and Mei Yun gave them to me. They can keep Cynthia company as she grows up. I'm planning to take some
