Chapter 908: Return
When Xiao Ran opened his eyes, he had returned to Prometheus once again. The year-long Legion Mission had finally come to an end. It concluded with humanity's defensive forces suffering losses of over fifty percent, while Setsuna successfully made contact with the ELS. The outcome was neither particularly good nor particularly bad for humanity. So many had been sacrificed, but humanity's extinction had been avoided.
Xiao Ran and every member of the Burning Legion had only remained for the full forty-eight hours after the battle ended. They left that world behind with a complete mess on their hands. As for what consequences the disappearance of the Frontier and the Burning Legion would bring, Xiao Ran had no time to worry about that. Before leaving, however, he selected successors from the military and government, and had Luo leave all of the Burning Legion's data behind in that world.
The rewards for this mission were not particularly generous. There were fewer than eight hundred thousand Merit Points and fewer than one hundred sixty thousand Legion supplies. Such rewards meant nothing to Xiao Ran. Even the random personal items awarded by the mission were merely glanced at before being tossed into the Legion Warehouse. Under his influence, Cruze, Luo, Basak, and the others on the team also placed all their rewards inside. After all, the highest-grade items were only C-class, and there was nothing particularly special about them, so they were of no use to any of them.
The true gains from this mission were probably the two random Legion rewards: the genuine dual-reactor synchronization technology, improved GN Solar Furnace technology, and GN Particle compression storage technology. Beyond that, there was also the growth the Legion's members had gained during this mission.
This one-year mission alone would allow at least
