When school let out that afternoon, Xiao Ran appeared at the school once more. Keeping his promise, he picked up Chidori and Yani. After meeting up with Luo, he briefly introduced Luo to Chidori, saying that Luo was a new member of his team, then took the two girls home. Meanwhile, Sousuke Sagara remained at the school to deal with the trouble he and Tsubaki had caused.
When Chidori saw El-Elf, she was a little surprised as well. She happily greeted him. They had been in the same class for so long and had gone through the hijacking incident together; they were not only classmates, but friends. Chidori also knew that El-Elf was temporarily staying with Mithril, though she did not know the reason why.
Yani, on the other hand, did not know El-Elf. When she saw him, she merely hid behind Xiao Ran and Chidori and timidly greeted him.
El-Elf calmly nodded at them, then observed Luo and Yani, taking in their every movement. Luo was likewise studying El-Elf.
The three men remained in the living room, while Chidori thoughtfully took Yani into the kitchen. She knew Xiao Ran basically could not cook, so she voluntarily took over the job.
Once the two girls had left, El-Elf took the initiative and extended a hand to Luo. "El-Elf. Intelligence support."
Facing El-Elf's outstretched hand, Luo shook it. After thinking for a moment, he answered, "Luo. Combat personnel."
"Understood." El-Elf nodded, withdrew his hand, and said, "I have some questions for you later. I hope you will answer them carefully."
Luo nodded blankly. He glanced at Xiao Ran's helpless smile and said, "Sure. As long as it's something I know, I can answer."
Still wearing that faint expression, as though nothing mattered to him, El-Elf simply replied, "Mm."
Xiao Ran smiled
