Ch. 21Shelley's Worry

Roy cultivated a method to strengthen his soul and arrived in Nichols City to lead a six-star mission against the Gers Tribe. He explained to Shelley that his past as a mortal made him especially concerned about tribes threatened with subjugation, while Shelley worried about how Roy might react to the Four Divine Beast Family’s harvesting of mortal souls.

  • Roy spent over three hundred years cultivating his soul-strengthening method and estimated that his Soul Essence had grown by about one-tenth.
  • Shelley brought Roy to Nichols City and privately worried that giving him Soul Gold Beads might have cost him the chance to become a Paragon.
  • At the Demon Castle, Roy learned that the Gers Tribe had formed an alliance with nearby tribes and that the mission to subjugate them had been raised to six stars.
  • Roy ordered the participating Devils to prepare and said they would depart in three days to wipe out the Gers Tribe.
  • Roy told Shelley that his memories of fearing for his mortal tribe made him especially sensitive to threats of enslavement and soul harvesting.

Ch. 22Discarded Pawns

Roy led a Demon mission that wiped out the Gers Tribe’s god-level experts, but he concluded the tribe had been a disposable outpost for a larger soul-harvesting force. He suspected families in Nichols City operated other nearby sites as well.

  • Shelley and Roy gathered the seventeen Demons who had accepted the mission and traveled to the Gers Tribe in a Metal Life.
  • Roy assigned two Five-star Demons to fight the Gers Patriarch, ten Four-star Demons to fight the allied Patriarchs, and five Three-star Demons to guard the area.
  • The Demons killed the Gers Patriarch, the allied tribal Patriarchs, and every other god-level expert in the tribe.
  • Roy distributed the Storage Rings to the Demons who had earned them and told them to protect the remaining people before returning to claim their rewards.
  • Roy explained to Shelley that the lack of Soul Gold Beads, Granules, or Essence in the Storage Rings showed the Gers Tribe had been a discarded outpost for a larger force, possibly families in Nichols City.

Ch. 23Twisted Demonic Eye

Roy and Shelley encountered five bandits near Emperor Wing City, and Roy killed them instantly with his newly developed technique, Twisted Demonic Eye. He explained how the technique worked and considered its power against even Seven-star Demons.

  • Roy reassured Shelley about the family's exploitation of resources and returned to cultivating aboard the Metal Life.
  • Several hundred years later, five bandits attacked the Metal Life near Emperor Wing City while its defenses were weakened.
  • Roy appeared and used Twisted Demonic Eye to distort space around the bandits, killing all five and collecting their divine sparks.
  • Shelley was stunned by Roy's strength, while Roy reflected on how his technique combined four Law Profound Mysteries.

Ch. 24Arriving at Blood Peak Continent

Roy and Shelley crossed the Purple Thistle Continent and arrived at Blood Peak Continent, where Roy discovered the Four Divine Beast Family held extensive power despite Blood Peak Lord God Pash’s presence. As they traveled toward the family’s ancestral land, Roy continued cultivating and assessed his progress.

  • Roy and Shelley crossed the Purple Thistle Continent after more than five hundred years, and bandit encounters became less frequent after they passed Emperor Wing City.
  • Roy learned that members of the Four Divine Beast Family controlled Blood Peak Continent’s cities and commanded its four Sovereign Legions, while Pash’s legion was assigned to the Planar Teleportation Arrays.
  • Shelley explained that the Four Divine Beast Family had agreed not to develop influence near Pash’s residence, and Roy recognized how much the family relied on its Sovereign ancestors.
  • Roy cultivated for more than five hundred years, strengthening his soul by half and speeding up his fusion of the Profound Mysteries of Laws.
  • Shelley traveled through Azure Mansion with Roy toward the Sky Sacrifice Mountain Range, where the Four Divine Beast Lord Gods lived and the family’s younger generation could enter the Bloodline Awakening Pool.

Ch. 25Sky Sacrifice Mountain Range

Roy entered the Four Divine Beast Family’s Sky Sacrifice Mountain Range with Shelley and met the clan patriarchs. He reassured Gaisleith that he did not resent Shelley for giving him Soul Gold Beads, even if they had reduced his chances of reaching Grand Perfection.

  • Roy and Shelley reached the Sky Sacrifice Mountain Range, where Shelley explained that flying was forbidden and violations could be punished by death.
  • Shelley’s Fire Element Divine Clone guided Roy through the ancestral land and warned him that the arena’s winner was always considered right.
  • Shelley brought Roy to a castle, where he met Azure Dragon Patriarch Gaisleith, White Tiger Patriarch Gess, and Vermillion Bird Patriarch Tia.
  • Gaisleith asked Roy whether he resented Shelley because the Soul Gold Beads she had given him had made his future path to Grand Perfection far less likely.
  • Roy said he had no resentment and was grateful to Shelley for strengthening his soul tenfold.

Ch. 26Plans

Gaisleith, Gus, and Tia compensated Roy for Shelley's mistake and discussed his potential and future role in the Four Divine Beast Family. Shelley led Roy to his new residence, while the Patriarchs secretly considered arranging a marriage for him.

  • Gaisleith gave Roy two hundred drops of Sovereign's Might and divine artifact materials, then told him to watch for the family's coming major move.
  • After Roy and Shelley left, Gus and Tia praised Roy's talent and confidence, and Gaisleith suggested recommending him as a Lord God envoy if he reached Asura strength.
  • Tia and Gus decided to seek young women in their clans to send to Roy, hoping marriage would bind him to the family.
  • Gaisleith wondered whether any children had recently been born in the Azure Dragon Clan as the Patriarchs planned to keep their matchmaking schemes from Roy.
  • Shelley showed Roy his residence in the Ancestral Land and advised him to remain out of secluded cultivation until servants were arranged.

Ch. 27Chris

Roy learned that the Four Divine Beast Family had recalled its foreign-surnamed elders for a major operation, then met Chris Nemo, the young maid sent to serve him and earn his forgiveness. He set rules for her service and went to cultivate, leaving Chris to settle in and begin cleaning.

  • Roy learned from the foreign-surnamed elders that the Four Divine Beast Family had summoned them back for a future major operation.
  • Chris Nemo arrived as Roy's maid, explaining that Patriarch Tia had sent her to make amends for Shelley's actions and that she had no Divine Clones.
  • Roy told Chris to leave him undisturbed while he cultivated, ask him about cultivation when he was available, and report anyone who mistreated her.
  • Chris agreed to Roy's requirements, and he went to his cultivation room while she settled in and decided to clean.

Ch. 28Forging a Divine Artifact

Roy forged a Divine Artifact suited to his mage-like combat style and named it the Star Bell, which also protected his soul. After leaving Chris asleep in the castle, he went to the arena in the Sky Sacrifice Mountain Range, where two figures were fighting.

  • Roy decided to forge a Divine Artifact and considered which kind best suited his combat style.
  • Roy forged a dark yellow bell with images of the Sun, Moon, Stars, and four divine beasts, then named it the Star Bell.
  • The Star Bell responded to Roy, entered his body, and formed a protective bell around his soul.
  • Chris improved her cleaning skills but fell asleep while tidying the first-floor hall.
  • Roy left Chris asleep and went to the arena, where two figures fought before a crowd of more than fifty spectators.

Ch. 29Star Bell's Debut

Roy brought his newly forged divine artifact, Star Bell, to the arena to test its power against Elder Kunyan. Its combined soul and material attacks surprised Kunyan, and Star Bell easily dispersed Kunyan’s sword energy, leaving their match underway.

  • Roy arrived at the arena and told Elder Kunting that he wanted to test the divine artifact he had just forged.
  • Roy arranged a match with his friend Elder Kunyan and they took an empty arena.
  • Roy activated Star Bell and sent a soul attack at Kunyan, whose necklace blocked it, while Kunyan noticed the bell also affected defensive artifacts.
  • Kunyan drew his Cyan Longsword and sent sword energy at Roy.
  • Roy rang Star Bell three times, dispersing Kunyan’s sword energy and impressing him with the artifact’s power.

Ch. 30The Secret of Fusing Law Mysteries

Roy fought Elder Kunyan and demonstrated that his Law Mysteries were perfectly fused, keeping his attacks and defense at Seven-star Devil strength. After the spar, Kunyan judged Roy to be among the Four Divine Beast Family’s top ten Seven-star Devils, while Roy realized many powerful elders remained.

  • Elder Kunyan attacked Roy with a Dimensional Slash, but Roy’s Lone Moon Dune overwhelmed it, and he also resisted Kunyan’s soul attack.
  • Roy observed that Kunyan’s strength varied widely, while his own fully fused Law Mysteries kept his ordinary attacks and defenses at Seven-star Devil level.
  • Family elders gathered to watch as Roy effortlessly countered Kunyan’s attacks and Kunyan’s strongest techniques failed to trouble him.
  • After half an hour, Kunyan ended the spar, called Roy a tiger who had hidden his strength, and ranked him among the family’s top ten Seven-star Devils.
  • Roy considered Kunyan’s assessment, and another elder invited the gathered elders to meet Roy.

Ch. 31Teaching the Little Maid

After battling more than a dozen Seven-star Devil Elders, Roy returned to his castle and gave his maid Chris guidance on the patterns behind the Profound Mysteries of Laws. Chris’s understanding of Water Element Profound Mysteries improved, and she believed she could reach godhood through her own cultivation with Roy’s help.

  • Roy fought more than a dozen Seven-star Devil Elders who offered to help him nurture his Divine Artifact through battle.
  • Roy concluded that most people followed the elders’ path and reflected on why Paragons were overwhelmingly powerful.
  • Roy returned to his castle, where Chris told him she had cleaned it.
  • Roy invited Chris to ask him about cultivation problems and explained how the Profound Mysteries of Laws could be grouped by their functions.
  • Chris understood the Profound Mysteries of Laws more clearly and believed she could become a god through personal cultivation within two thousand years.

Ch. 32A Thousand Years: The Little Maid Becomes a God

Roy spent millennia cultivating, advanced the Star Bell to a High-level Divine Artifact, and fused five Law Profound Mysteries into the Asura-level move Five Finger Mountain. Chris became a god, and Roy planned to help her recover her soul before taking her to awaken her Vermillion Bird bloodline; the chapter left Roy meeting Elder Mars at the arena.

  • Roy followed a cycle of cultivation, sparring, and teaching Chris until the Star Bell reached the High-level Divine Artifact stage and could no longer improve through ordinary battles.
  • Roy cultivated for nearly two thousand years, doubled the strength of his soul, and fused the Strength Law Profound Mystery with four others to create Five Finger Mountain.
  • Chris became a god outside her body, and Roy promised to find Soul Gold Beads to help her soul recover before taking her to the Vermillion Bird Clan's Bloodline Awakening Pool.
  • Roy left the castle, sensed Elder Mars at the arena, and spoke with him about cultivating the Law Profound Mysteries.

Ch. 33Seeing the Vermilion Bird Clan Chief Again

Roy gathered Soul Gold Beads to restore Chris's weakened soul and brought her to the Vermillion Bird Clan to awaken her bloodline. While Chris was escorted to the Bloodline Awakening Pool, Roy met Tia Nemo, who welcomed him to the clan's territory.

  • Roy asked Mars for Soul Gold Beads to help Chris recover and gave her the three beads Mars had on hand.
  • Roy told Chris to prepare her cultivation questions and assured her that he accepted her whether or not she changed.
  • With Mars's help, Roy gathered enough Soul Gold Beads to restore Chris's soul in less than a year, and Mars also prepared beads for her future bloodline awakening.
  • Chris told Roy that her soul had fully recovered, and he took her to the Vermillion Bird Clan's territory.
  • Chris's clansmen escorted her to the Bloodline Awakening Pool while Roy went to the Clan Chief Hall to meet Tia Nemo, who welcomed him warmly.

Ch. 34Guidance

Roy advised Tia to delay Chris’s bloodline awakening until she reached godhood through Water Element cultivation, prompting Tia to investigate whether the timing affected clan members’ progress. After Chris became a god and received Tia’s favor, Roy warned her to cultivate quickly because the clan’s protection could not be relied on forever, especially with enemies targeting the Four Divine Beast Lord Gods.

  • Roy told Tia that Chris should reach godhood through Water Element cultivation before undergoing bloodline awakening, and warned that awakening too early could hinder her later progress.
  • Tia ordered Leopold to compare the cultivation levels of clan members who entered the Bloodline Awakening Pool before and after becoming gods.
  • Chris arrived after becoming a god, and Tia congratulated her, gave her a Spatial Ring, and asked her to look after Roy.
  • Chris told Roy that his help had improved her parents’ standing, including gaining her mother permission to live in the ancestral land.
  • Roy warned Chris that Tia’s favor might not last and urged her to grow strong enough to protect her family independently.
  • Roy reflected that the Four Divine Beast Family’s protection gave him time to grow, but their Lord Gods faced a threat beyond Augusta.

Ch. 36Deep Pockets

Roy attended a Four Divine Beast Family gathering where the patriarchs announced a campaign to spread the family across the planes and assigned the elders missions to seize cities. Gaisleith gave Roy a large supply of Lord God's power, and Roy prepared to develop the family while continuing to strengthen himself.

  • Roy reunited with Elder Kunyan and greeted several familiar elders at the Azure Dragon Clan's meeting place.
  • The four clan patriarchs appeared and Gaisleith announced plans to challenge city lords across the Seven God Planes and Four Supreme Planes.
  • Gaisleith urged the elders to spread the family's influence and faith, then called them to register for missions and collect resources.
  • Roy received a Spatial Ring from Gaisleith containing more than five hundred drops of Lord God's power.
  • Roy was impressed by the Four Divine Beast Family's wealth and resolved to help strengthen the family.

Ch. 37Journey to the Netherworld

Roy gathered Shelley and a group of Four Divine Beast Family members for a mission to the Netherworld, hoping to find his deceased parents and obtain Netherworld Fruits for them. As the group departed, the family’s Sovereign Power-backed campaign against city forces in Hell began to spread.

  • Roy welcomed Shelley and agreed to lead her Six-star Devil companions and ten thousand clansmen on the family mission.
  • Shelley gathered Timothy, Branny, Ivan, and the clansmen, and Roy set out with them from Azure Mansion.
  • Roy told Shelley that their destination was the Netherworld, where he hoped to find his parents and obtain Netherworld Fruits for them.
  • Four Divine Beast Family members challenged city lords across Hell, using Sovereign Power to defeat them and strengthen the family’s prestige.

Ch. 38Approaching Enemies

As the Four Divine Beast Family expanded its influence across Hell, Korklav learned that one of its Metal Lives was approaching his tribe. Hoping to avenge his family’s defeat in Sunset City, he armed his elders with Sovereign’s Might and led them to intercept it.

  • Ted spotted a Metal Life from the Four Divine Beast Family near the Kerkla Mountain Range and told his father, Korklav.
  • Korklav summoned the Yul Family elders and explained that the approaching Metal Life was heading toward Fengyan Prefecture.
  • Korklav recalled how the Four Divine Beast Family had seized control of Sunset City and driven his family into exile, killing many of its members.
  • Korklav proposed attacking the Metal Life, arguing that its group was likely led by a Six-star Devil rather than a Seven-star Demon.
  • Korklav revealed seven drops of Sovereign’s Might, gave one to each of his four Six-star Devil elders, and kept three for himself.
  • The elders agreed to Korklav’s plan, and the Yul Family set out to attack the approaching group.

Ch. 39Action

Roy confronted Korklav and the Yul Family as they attacked the Metal Life, stopping Korklav’s powerful strike and trapping most of his fleeing group. The four Six-star Elders escaped using Sovereign Power, while the Five-star Elders were buried and sealed by Roy’s technique.

  • Roy sensed seventeen High-level Gods approaching and warned Shelley, Ivan, Timothy, Branny, and the Five-star Devil piloting the Metal Life to prepare for battle.
  • Korklav led the Yul Family’s group in an attack, swinging his Flame Sword at the Metal Life with Fire God's Blazing Flame.
  • Roy intercepted the attack with Almighty Push, and Korklav realized a Seven-star Demon was aboard the Metal Life and ordered his group to retreat.
  • Roy used Chibaku Tensei to pull Korklav’s group back toward a black sphere, trapping the Five-star Devil Elders beneath layers of earth.
  • The Yul Family’s four Six-star Elders used Sovereign Power to break free, and Korklav used a drop of Sovereign Power to strengthen himself.

Ch. 40Five Finger Mountain

Roy countered Korklav and four Six-star Devil Elders with his own Sovereign's Might and crushed them beneath Five Finger Mountain. The four Elders died, while Korklav remained pinned beneath the mountain, unable to stand.

  • Korklav shattered Roy's Chibaku Tensei, killing twelve Five-star Devil Elders caught in the attack.
  • Korklav charged Roy with four Six-star Devil Elders, wielding a thousand-meter Flame Greatsword empowered by Sovereign's Might.
  • Roy absorbed a drop of Earth High God's Sovereign's Might and used Five Finger Mountain to slam the five attackers to the ground.
  • Five Finger Mountain's immense gravity repeatedly wounded Korklav and the four Elders despite their Sovereign's Might healing them.
  • The four Six-star Devil Elders' Sovereign's Might dispersed, and they died as Korklav remained on his knees, unable to rise.

Ch. 41Arrival in the Underworld

Roy defeated Korklav and several other attackers while leading the Four Divine Beast Family convoy through Hell. After more than a century, the group reached the Planar Teleportation Array and arrived in the Underworld, where their mass arrival drew the attention of the Sovereign Legion soldiers.

  • Roy crushed Korklav beneath Five Finger Mountain, collected the attackers’ divine sparks and Spatial Rings, and ordered Shelley and the others to guard the convoy in shifts.
  • Several more groups led by at least Six-star Devils attacked during the journey, and Roy killed them beneath Five Finger Mountain.
  • After more than a century, Roy’s group reached Hell’s Planar Teleportation Array and used the Four Divine Beast Lord Gods’ token to travel without paying a fee.
  • Roy’s group arrived at the Underworld’s Undead Sacred Mountain, where the bright teleportation flash caught the Sovereign Legion soldiers’ attention.
