A projectile was clamped between two parallel rails. A powerful current flowed from one rail, through the projectile, and into the other rail. This generated a powerful magnetic field around the rails, launching the electrified projectile along the direction of force F.

Chang Wei could now control high-voltage currents exceeding ten billion volts, enough to turn the air into a conductor.

That was right—he was going to use his own arm as the shell!

The Railgun was Misaka Mikoto's signature technique, but there were many problems with actually pulling it off.

But that was fine. Chang Wei had the Blacklight Virus, as well as knowledge of railguns.

He could digest it bit by bit through sheer effort.

"Railgun?"

The Jester's pupils contracted. The next instant, a fist flashing like lightning struck him.

Chang Wei knew full well that reality was not a game where time stopped for explanations, nor would anyone watch him charge up without interrupting him. Therefore, after being sent flying, he had already finished charging by the time the Jester came at him.

The launched "shell" instantly accelerated to the horrifying speed of three hundred kilometers per minute. The terrifying electric shock and gale-force winds cleared away everything around it.

The Jester was even more incredulous. He had actually gone for the kill so decisively?

Wasn't devouring a Prototype's instinct? Let alone for a Prototype like it?

The Jester knew very well just how intense human greed could be. Capitalists could sell others the rope that would hang them for a three-hundred-percent profit. People could slaughter one another over a useless lump of gold, wage wars for years over a woman...

Shamelessness, greed, and despicableness—these were both humanity's flaws and its strengths.

Without them, humanity would have lacked ambition and would never have climbed down from the trees millions of years ago.

The "shell" pierced through its body, instantly vaporizing most of its form. What remained was reduced to nothing before the extreme heat generated by the terrifying thermal barrier!

"The ocean's treasury is right there, and the Blacklight Virus is hidden within every living thing on Earth. I've also obtained the knowledge, memories, and experience of billions of humans across the world... Why would I covet your Blacklight Virus?"

Chang Wei saw through its confusion and spoke to the air as the Jester vanished into ash, completely wiped from existence.

The next instant, a blade stabbed at Chang Wei's back, moving faster than imagination.

"Crack!"

Chang Wei's body split apart and scattered, dissipating into the air.

The Jester, whose strike had missed, froze for a moment. Then dozens of beams blasted in from every direction, vaporizing and gasifying it!

Ninety-Nine: Heat Ray!

By shaping the appropriate structures, Chang Wei had created Blacklight Virus nuclear-energy biological emitters for Atomic Breath and Heat Ray in every direction. He was confident that even if the Jester produced some colossal monster, he could melt and vaporize it.

The decoy had only enough energy to fire one charged Railgun shot. It was meant to deceive and take a bullet for him. How could someone as cautious as Chang Wei possibly send his True Body into battle?

After figuring out what the Jester was, Chang Wei no longer had any intention of devouring it. He was afraid it would drive him insane.

Memories could be read while his main consciousness remained himself, but if those memories could not be controlled, Chang Wei would be "drowned" by them.

This counted as a different kind of body-snatching rebirth, or rather, "fusion."

True fusion. This guy simply did not care how many memories in its head were simultaneously operating and active.

Yet it was not over. A monster in the distance fired its spikes at tremendous speed, striking the location where Chang Wei was. Then came a "BOOM"!!!

With a deafening explosion, a massive Mushroom Cloud rose into the sky.

"It really is outrageous for you to develop biology to this extent."

Chang Wei's voice came from all directions.

"Human science is also very powerful. I underestimated the role of tools."

The Jester's voice was a bizarre blend of men, women, old, and young, its overlapping tones sounding extraordinarily strange.

"If we're talking about tools, then you've still underestimated them..."

"Instead of learning from an Apex Predator, you chose to imitate things Earth has already discarded. The food chain has a time limit. Any creature that fails to evolve in time will be eliminated. Only humans can lazily and arrogantly abandon evolution, because they chose the most effective form of evolution."

"So, Mr. Jester, Madam, Old Man of the Mountain, Lu Bu, and the esteemed Mr. Einstein... Can you feel it? That earth-shattering power."

Light had already appeared in the Jester's eyes. It was a sun blooming upon the land.

"A Hydrogen Bomb... Nuclear Fusion? Have you evolved to this extent already?"

It had arranged countless contingencies and was confident that it was Immortal and Undying, that it could devour an anomaly like Chang Wei. It had not expected all of this to be merely a trap. Chang Wei's Hydrogen Bomb was the true killing blow. Once he confirmed that "it" had arrived, he decisively used Nuclear Fusion to destroy everything.

Chang Wei had always been cautious, and coupled with the characteristics of the Blacklight Virus, he had no desire to spend who knew how many years playing a hunting game with the Jester.

"Not at all. I merely used a little trick. Nuclear Fusion is still somewhat difficult..."

The yield was beyond imagination. Especially since it detonated in midair, both Chang Wei's aerial Nest and ground Nest were destroyed along with it!
