"Very well..."
Before Chang Wei could finish speaking, the other party punched him in the face.
"BOOM!!!"
The supersonic impact shattered everything around them, even the hard Nest cracking apart as shockwaves compressed and blasted outward.
Chang Wei stood perfectly still, like something utterly immovable.
"I was thinking that if you couldn't even reach supersonic speed, this would be boring."
He continued.
"Rip!"
The recoil caused the other man's arm to burst apart.
"Should I call you Jason, or one of the others?"
Chang Wei asked with a smile.
"You can call me anything. Old Man of the Mountain, Lu Bu, Ali, Tyson..."
The newcomer said indifferently. His arm had fully regenerated in the blink of an eye, as though the explosion just now had been an illusion.
"Oh, the Old Man of the Mountain I know, or the Old Man of the Mountain everyone knows?"
Chang Wei stretched his limbs and asked casually.
"Of course, the Old Man of the Mountain from history. And Einstein."
The Jester's face was constantly shifting, like Rorschach's mask. The difference was that Rorschach's mask changed patterns, while his changed facial features and muscles.
"The Blacklight Virus can do that too?"
Chang Wei was somewhat surprised.
"It's a little difficult. First, you have to find the Old Man of the Mountain's descendants, then obtain it from the genetic information..."
The Jester nodded.
The two conversed amicably, but their confrontation had actually shifted from overt clashes of brute force into the far more dangerous microscopic realm.
Countless Micro-dust level Blacklight Viruses, invisible to the naked eye, were slaughtering, assimilating, and absorbing one another around them.
This was a method Chang Wei had come up with himself. It could silently invade and absorb a target, but he had not expected the Jester to know it as well.
Had he just learned it, or had he known it all along?
It was no exaggeration to say that if Chang Wei had thought of this sooner, he would not have feared Elizabeth running away at all. Once the invasion succeeded, there was no saving her.
"You're doing many things at once. Fighting me, chatting with me, invading the deep sea to see whether I left behind any contingencies, and finally completing a sealed Blacklight Virus space..."
Then the Jester suddenly said.
"Oh, you left eyes outside?"
Chang Wei did not deny it.
"My level of evolution is higher than yours. You only think about utilizing and developing organic matter, but never consider utilizing and developing inorganic matter."
The Jester looked directly at Chang Wei's eyes. His pupils turned into snake-like vertical slits, then wolf pupils, filled with a chilling coldness that made one's hair stand on end.
"Hypnosis?"
With a blink, Chang Wei's eyes transformed into an even more complex visual structure, capable of seeing light and colors that humans could not perceive.
"Interesting. You noticed so quickly?"
The Jester had used this pattern-and-suggestion hypnosis many times before. According to legend, the Hypnotists Association had recreated the Holy Son's old method, using mass suggestion, patterns, and language to make many people witness "miracles." Only after they had worshipped did they step forward to expose it, claiming that the Holy Son had merely mastered hypnotic techniques.
Of course, the final result was that he was hunted to death by the One True God Church.
He had specifically sought out that hypnotist's corpse and obtained this hypnotic ability.
That hypnosis just now had been quite formidable. If Chang Wei had not also possessed a hypnotist's memories, he probably would have been hypnotized and then devoured without any resistance... by this disguise body.
The next moment, the Jester sensed that his Blacklight Virus had fallen into a disadvantage and attacked without hesitation.
"BOOM—!"
This punch was even more ferocious than the last. Even the Blacklight Virus ground beneath their feet directly melted and vaporized in part. Chang Wei was sent flying, crashing into a hard Blacklight Virus wall and smashing through it by force. He flew out, then smashed through one of his own Nests.
Like a beam of light, he punched through five Nests in succession before finally stopping.
The incomparably hard Guyver Armor plating was covered in dense cracks, just like fragile ceramic.
You've got to be kidding me. A supersonic punch?
Chang Wei's visual processing and neural reflexes were already absurdly fast, beyond human imagination, yet he still could not see the speed of that punch.
"Among arthropods, there is a kind of shrimp called the Mantis Shrimp—it is the second-fastest attacking species in the world. It can use its forelimbs as weapons, launching the tips of its striking appendages in one-fiftieth of a second. Its top speed exceeds eighty kilometers per hour, its acceleration surpasses that of a 5.588-millimeter-caliber pistol bullet, and it can generate up to sixty kilograms of impact force. The high temperature generated by friction in an instant can even make the surrounding water spark with electricity."
The Jester's voice came from afar.
"I see. I've learned something."
Chang Wei rose to his feet.
"Now, try my Railgun!"
Electric arcs flickered around Chang Wei's right hand. Electricity converted from nuclear energy formed an Electromagnetic Field out of thin air for acceleration, with the main energy not converting into heat.
The principle of an electromagnetic cannon was to use the Ampere force exerted on an electrified conductor within a magnetic field to accelerate it, striking targets with high-speed kinetic energy.
Its formula was: F = BIL. That was, Ampere force = magnetic induction intensity × current intensity × conductor length.
