Walking Step by Step Toward the Truth

Sephiroth went to find Chang Wei.

"Chang Wei, I want to return to Nibelheim. That was where the Jenova Project began." There was a hint of heaviness in Sephiroth's voice.

Chang Wei nodded without saying much. He understood Sephiroth's feelings and the importance of this journey. He reached out and gently patted Sephiroth's shoulder.

"Then let's head back!" Chang Wei said. "No matter what the truth is, we'll face it together. Depending on the situation, abandoning Shinra isn't out of the question."

Sephiroth was deeply moved by Chang Wei's words. He nodded, determination flashing in his eyes. He knew that as long as Chang Wei was by his side, he would not lose his way.

Without notifying Shinra Company's higher-ups, the two quietly departed. Their departure unsettled Shinra Company's executives, while Genesis and Angeal saw an opportunity arrive.

They knew Sephiroth and Chang Wei's departure had created favorable conditions for their plan. Destroying Shinra Company—their long-standing goal—now seemed within reach.

Traveling light, the two soon returned to Nibelheim village. The scenery was as familiar as ever, yet Sephiroth felt an inexplicable sense of estrangement. He knew that this return would uncover a long-buried past.

"Chang Wei!" A familiar voice called out. Wearing a cowboy hat and beaming with delight, Tifa ran over. She threw her arms around Chang Wei, and the two held each other tightly.

Sephiroth smiled at the sight, warmth rising in his heart. He knew that no matter what happened, the friendship between them would never change.

"How long are you staying this time?" Tifa asked eagerly after letting go of Chang Wei.

Chang Wei shook his head, a trace of confusion in his eyes. "I don't know," he said. "We still have a lot to deal with."

Tifa seemed somewhat disappointed, but she quickly composed herself.
