Ch. 522Wolf's Curse

Chang Wei offered Norrington and the Royal Navy immortality in exchange for their loyalty, and Norrington accepted to spare his men. Chang Wei transformed them into vampires, leaving Norrington to regain control over the newly cursed crew.

  • Chang Wei offered to turn Norrington and his men into immortal Undead in exchange for their submission.
  • Norrington weighed the choice and knelt, pledging loyalty to Chang Wei to protect the lives under his command.

  • Norrington and his men changed physically, and the newly made vampires panicked and attacked one another.
  • Norrington howled and rebuked the Royal Navy men, restoring their senses and order.

Ch. 523Get Down!

Chang Wei revealed the Blood Curse’s weaknesses and abandoned Will Turner and Elizabeth on melting ice as the fleet sailed toward Singapore. Norrington led the fleet while managing its vampires’ need for blood, and Singapore Pirate King Xiao Feng learned that the Great Britain Royal Navy was approaching.

  • Sunlight burned Norrington and the Royal Navy vampires, and Chang Wei explained that sunlight and silver could injure them but not kill them while his power remained.
  • Chang Wei left Will Turner on the ice, then kicked Elizabeth into the sea after she invoked the Pirate Code; Will rescued her as the ice began to melt.
  • Norrington ordered the fleet away, unable to oppose Chang Wei, while Will promised to protect Elizabeth.
  • The fleet sailed toward the Singapore Sea, and Norrington kept captives from ships they encountered as a regular blood supply for the vampires and zombies.
  • Xiao Feng received word that a Great Britain Royal Navy fleet was heading toward Singapore.

Ch. 524Xiao Feng!

Chang Wei pursued Xiao Feng across the sea and captured him with Norrington’s transformed vampires. He demanded Xiao Feng’s Mao Kun Map and learned that it was hidden at a bathhouse.

  • Chang Wei used a compass to track Xiao Feng’s fleet while Norrington’s ghost ships pursued it at night.
  • Norrington and the vampires transformed into giant bats, flew to Xiao Feng’s ships, and captured Xiao Feng after his pistol shot failed to harm Norrington.
  • Norrington brought Xiao Feng aboard Chang Wei’s ship, where Xiao Feng mistook Chang Wei for one of Liang Dao’s men.
  • Chang Wei demanded the Mao Kun Map and threatened to make Xiao Feng suffer if he resisted or deceived him.
  • Xiao Feng said the Mao Kun Map was hidden at the bathhouse, and Chang Wei planned to summon it using Xiao Feng’s blood.

Ch. 525Treasures of the Gods

Chang Wei took the Mao Kun Map from Xiao Feng’s blood and discovered that it showed both the World Tree and Tartarus. He set out with the Undead Pirates to search for Norse gods’ treasures, despite Norrington’s concerns.

  • Chang Wei made Xiao Feng bleed into a barrel, retrieved the Mao Kun Map from the blood, and let him go.
  • Chang Wei found the World Tree marked on the map and considered the dangers of seeking Norse mythological treasures.
  • Chang Wei spotted Tartarus on the map and wondered whether the imprisoned Titans would make good ingredients.
  • Chang Wei announced that the Undead Pirates would search for the World Tree and the treasures of the Norse gods.
  • Barbossa accepted the adventure despite his fear, while Norrington tried to dissuade Chang Wei, who insisted the treasures belonged to him.

Ch. 526The True Jörmungandr

Chang Wei led his fleet into a lightless sea near the World Tree, where enormous Jörmungandr attacked the ships. The battle left the crew facing serpents whose venom could kill even gods.

  • Jack Sparrow escaped a deserted island, stole a warship at Royal Port, and pursued the Black Pearl after hearing news of it.
  • Chang Wei and his fleet entered a sea where darkness hid the surroundings and even the sound of waves disappeared.
  • A vampire spotted a massive creature beneath the ship, and Chang Wei identified it as Jörmungandr.
  • Several giant serpents attacked, dragging Black Pearl pirates into the sea and killing some Zombie Pirates with their venom.
  • Chang Wei explained that the serpents' venom could kill gods, and a vampire turned to ash after biting one.

Ch. 527Undead!

The Undead Pirates fought the Jörmungandr and encountered thousands of spirits from the wrecks, but Chang Wei bound the spirits to a golden sword and drove the serpents away. He restored the pirates’ dead souls in undead form, leaving the Undead fleet surrounded by newly freed ghosts.

  • Norrington coordinated the Undead Pirates against the poisonous Jörmungandr, which coiled around their ships and damaged them.
  • The battle disturbed spirits aboard the shipwrecks, and they attacked Chang Wei and Black Mamba while ignoring the immortal skeletons and zombies.
  • Chang Wei used his Word Spirit to command the spirits, then bound thousands of them to the Undead King's Sword.
  • Chang Wei released the souls of the pirates killed by the Jörmungandr and turned the captured spirits into corporeal undead who could affect the living.
  • The Jörmungandr fled from Chang Wei, and the undead spirits began harassing Norrington, Barbossa, and the rest of the fleet.

Ch. 528World Tree Roots

Chang Wei and the Undead Pirates reached a glowing World Tree root, where Odin’s remnant soul appeared and offered the gods’ treasures in exchange for Chang Wei’s body. Chang Wei refused, and he and Odin clashed as the sea erupted around them.

  • The Undead Pirates guided the ships through wrecks until Chang Wei found a glowing root of the World Tree.
  • Chang Wei landed on the root, awakening Odin’s remnant soul, who asked why a new God had come to the gods’ resting place.
  • Chang Wei said he was treasure hunting, and Odin offered the treasures in exchange for Chang Wei’s body as Odin’s vessel.
  • Chang Wei realized Odin coveted his body and drew the Demonic Blade of Certain Death, while Odin revealed his divine power and prepared to take him.
  • Odin’s power split the sea and threatened the ships, and Chang Wei and Odin crossed paths in a flash of lightning.

Ch. 529War Lord: Master of War and Weapons

Chang Wei fought Odin, who was occupying Thor’s body, and revealed that his demonic blade could inflict unhealable, fatal wounds. As Odin’s failing body pushed him to throw Gungnir, Chang Wei seized the spear with his War Lord power and claimed he could wield any weapon.

  • Odin discovered the wound from Chang Wei’s demonic blade would not heal and asked what the weapon was.
  • Chang Wei explained the blade’s deadly power and resumed fighting Odin, who used Gungnir and lightning to keep him at bay.
  • Their battle destroyed a bat ship, and Chang Wei gradually gained the upper hand as cracks spread across Thor’s body.
  • Odin threw Gungnir at Chang Wei with its Divine Announcement power, but Chang Wei caught and seized it.
  • Chang Wei explained that his War Lord power gave him authority over weapons and let him use any weapon in his hands, including divine artifacts.

Ch. 530Odin's Death

Chang Wei killed Odin with Gungnir and his demonic blade, then learned more about Ragnarok and Heaven’s attack on the Norse Gods. He set his sights on the abyssal god Tartarus as the Undead fleet looted the mysterious sea and its pirates rallied behind him.

  • Chang Wei hurled Gungnir through Odin, then destroyed Odin’s exposed divine soul with his demonic blade.
  • The Undead Pirates returned to the ship and celebrated Chang Wei’s victory, while he refused to let them make wishes on Gungnir.
  • By devouring Odin, Chang Wei learned that Heaven’s birdmen had attacked the Norse Gods as Ragnarok began, and that Odin had not perished in Ragnarok.
  • Chang Wei turned his attention toward finding Abyssal God Tartarus, whose existence seemed plausible in the Greek-mythology-centered world.
  • The Undead fleet spent several days looting the mysterious sea and loaded tons of Norse offerings and treasure onto its remaining bat ships.
  • The pirates learned that Chang Wei had slain Odin and grew more eager to follow him, hoping to benefit from his power.

Ch. 531Gungnir Acquired

Chang Wei captured Jack Sparrow and ordered Barbossa to keep him alive, then led the Flying Dutchman out of the World Tree's waters. The ship encountered the Spanish Armada, and both fleets prepared to attack each other.

  • Barbossa and the pirates spotted Jack Sparrow trying to hide among the wrecks, and Chang Wei ordered Barbossa to keep him alive because he sensed a powerful curse on him.
  • Barbossa's men took control of Jack's ship, tied him up aboard the Black Pearl, and ignored his questions about Chang Wei and the Flying Dutchman.
  • Chang Wei sailed the Flying Dutchman out of the mysterious waters and encountered the Spanish Armada.
  • Chang Wei and Norrington realized they faced the Spanish fleet, and both sides decided to attack first.

Ch. 532Spanish Armada

Norrington’s fleet and the Flying Dutchman engaged the Spanish Armada, whose heavy cannon barrage devastated their ships. After the Armada’s guns forced the Flying Dutchman to close in, Norrington led the vampires in bat form toward the Spanish ships, where Spanish soldiers and sailors prepared to defend against them.

  • Norrington ordered his fleet to fire, and the Spanish commander praised the accuracy of the British gunners before the Armada answered with a massive volley of heavy cannons.
  • The Spanish cannonballs badly damaged the Flying Dutchman, shoved the Black Pearl and Bat-class Warships sideways, and wrecked vessels and masts across Norrington’s fleet.
  • The Flying Dutchman abandoned the cannon exchange and moved to close the distance, while the Spanish Armada struggled to turn its enormous fleet into position.
  • Norrington transformed into a giant bat as the cannonfire heated the air and clouds blocked the sun, then led the other vampires toward the Armada.
  • Giant bats landed on more than a hundred Spanish ships, where over eight thousand soldiers and eighteen thousand sailors prepared to fight back.

Ch. 533A New Overlord of the Sea

Chang Wei’s undead fleet overwhelmed and captured the Spanish Armada, making him a new power at sea and alarming Great Britain and Spain. The Spanish commander’s expedition had been intended to attack England, but Chang Wei questioned whether its timing was right.

  • Norrington and the vampires slaughtered Spanish soldiers, while Barbossa’s undead skeletons boarded the Armada’s ships and began killing and searching for loot.
  • The Spanish commander recognized Chang Wei as the rumored eastern sorcerer called the Devil, but Chang Wei deceived the Priest into believing he was an angelic messenger.
  • Chang Wei chose to keep the surviving Spaniards as prisoners, and his vampires took control of the entire Spanish Armada.
  • The expanded Undead fleet spread fear across the sea, prompting Great Britain and Spain to become wary and the Spanish treasure fleet to suspend its voyages.
  • After learning the Armada had been sent on an expedition, Chang Wei wondered why it had set out at that particular time.

Ch. 534Abyssal Tartarus!

Chang Wei led his fleet into the bottomless abyss and reached Tartarus after ten days of falling through darkness. He arrived before its enormous bronze gates, where Poseidon had forged three gates and Hades guarded them.

  • Chang Wei crossed the ocean with his fleet and reached the world's edge, where seawater poured into the abyss containing Tartarus.
  • Chang Wei ordered the fleet to dive, and Gungnir's light guided the Undead Pirates and Spanish prisoners through the endless darkness.
  • After ten days and ten nights, light appeared and the fleet entered Tartarus, a barren underworld steeped in darkness.
  • Chang Wei and his companions reached a hundred-meter-tall bronze gate, one of three forged by Poseidon and guarded by Hades.

Ch. 535Titan Gods!

Chang Wei and the pirates explored the shattered gates of Tartarus, finding empty prisons, slain Titans, and signs that a powerful enemy had invaded. At the third gate, they encountered Hades and the still-living Cronus and other Titans, and Chang Wei prepared to fight them.

  • Chang Wei inspected the broken bronze gate and found that Hades, the Hundred-Armed Giants, and the imprisoned Titans were missing.
  • Chang Wei led the pirates past empty pillars and scattered shackles, then found a Titan corpse covered in deep sword wounds.
  • Chang Wei and the pirates discovered more Titan corpses and battle marks beyond the second gate, suggesting the Titans there had fought back harder.
  • Chang Wei reached the third gate and recognized the armed figure before him as Hades, while scarlet eyes watched from beyond the open gate.
  • Cronus emerged alive with other Titans, and Chang Wei and the Undead Pirates faced them without attempting to talk.

Ch. 536Hades

Chang Wei battled Hades, whose invisible Bident wielded deadly Death Aura, while the Undead Pirates struggled to survive the destruction around them. After Chang Wei revealed that he had killed Odin and taken Gungnir, Cronus reacted from his cell, and Chang Wei demanded either Cronus's Scythe or Hades's Bident.

  • Hades attacked Chang Wei with his invisible Bident, but Gungnir blocked the weapon and its Death Aura.
  • Hades recognized Gungnir as Odin's weapon and wondered whether Odin had met with foul play as Chang Wei pressed the attack.
  • Chang Wei and Hades clashed with immense force, while the Undead Pirates took cover behind a Titan's corpse and were trapped beneath it.
  • Hades asked Chang Wei about his connection to Odin, and Chang Wei said he had killed Odin after Odin tried to take his body.
  • Cronus called out from his cell to ask whether Odin was finished, and Chang Wei demanded Cronus's Scythe or Hades's Bident.

Ch. 537Two Heroes Battle Chang Wei

Chang Wei fought Hades and Cronus after Hades asked what was happening outside, overpowering both with Gungnir and his martial skill. Hades and Cronus were left sprawled on the ground, while Chang Wei’s strength remained closely tied to Gungnir’s protection from their deadly powers.

  • Hades ignored Chang Wei’s provocation and attacked him head-on, while Cronus recognized the danger of Gungnir’s growing light.
  • Chang Wei hurled Gungnir, and Hades blocked it with his bident as Cronus intervened to attack Chang Wei from behind.
  • Cronus’s sickle shattered Chang Wei’s Demonic Blade of Certain Death, but Chang Wei dodged his attacks and recalled Gungnir.
  • Hades and Cronus joined forces against Chang Wei, who fought them with Gungnir and a strength he attributed to an invented War Lord inheritance.
  • After a hundred exchanges, Chang Wei struck Hades and Cronus with his spear and sent them tumbling across the ground.

Ch. 538Defeating Two Great Gods

Chang Wei defeated Cronus in the Underworld and refused Hades's offer of the Bident, asking instead about Zeus and the empty prison. Hades explained that Angels of the Holy Roman Church had taken the prisoners and Titans from Tartarus.

  • Cronus revealed his Titan body after Chang Wei's attack tore open the Underworld's dark sky.
  • Cronus's scythe failed to affect Chang Wei, and Chang Wei knocked the scythe away and hurled Gungnir through Cronus's head.
  • Hades stopped Chang Wei from attacking again and offered him the Bident of Death, but Chang Wei declined and asked where Zeus was.
  • Chang Wei asked Hades why only he and Cronus remained in Tartarus, and Hades said the Angels of the Holy Roman Church had taken the prisoners and Titans.

Ch. 539Just Out and He Ran into a Sea Monster

Chang Wei learned from Hades about the Angels of the Holy Roman Church and their powerful Spear of Longinus, then set sail with the Undead Pirates to search for the Sea Emperor’s Trident and Thunder Lightning Spear. After the crew returned to the human world, the Flying Dutchman attacked the Black Pearl, and Captain Jack noticed a black mark on his palm.

  • Hades told Chang Wei that winged Angels carrying the Spear of Longinus had attacked him and Cronus, killing Crius before retreating.
  • Chang Wei secretly ate part of Hades and Cronus, then released Barbossa and the Undead Pirates and announced that they would search for the Sea Emperor’s Trident.
  • Chang Wei led the crew through the Nether River back to the human world and sensed that Captain Jack’s curse had grown stronger.
  • Davy Jones sent the Flying Dutchman to attack the Black Pearl, striking Captain Jack into the sea and nearly sinking the ship with a tentacle.
  • The crew fought back against the Norwegian Sea Monster, and Captain Jack climbed out of the water and saw a black mark on his palm.

Ch. 540Flying Dutchman

Davy Jones arrived aboard the Flying Dutchman to collect Jack Sparrow’s soul or take a hundred souls in payment for their bargain. Chang Wei saw the sea-creature crew and decided to turn Spanish captives into crab generals and British sailors into Lobster Soldiers, while Jack faced Jones’s demand.

  • The chapter explained how Jack had traded his soul to Davy Jones for the Black Pearl and how Jones and the Flying Dutchman became cursed.
  • Chang Wei examined the Flying Dutchman’s crew and decided Spanish captives could become crab generals while British sailors could become Lobster Soldiers.
  • Davy Jones greeted Jack Sparrow and demanded that he serve aboard the Flying Dutchman.
  • Jack argued that his agreed term as captain of the Black Pearl had not yet ended.
  • Davy Jones offered Jack a choice between surrendering a hundred souls or his own, and the Undead Pirates looked to Jack as the one who had brought the trouble upon them.

Ch. 541A Minor Punishment

Chang Wei confronted Davy Jones, revealed his reputation as a god-slaying New God, and punished him and the Kraken with Gungnir. He left to search for the Sea Emperor's Trident while Davy Jones and the wounded sea creatures faced a slow, painful death.

  • Davy Jones found Jack in Chang Wei's custody and questioned Chang Wei after noticing Gungnir.
  • The Undead Pirates announced that Chang Wei had slain Odin, defeated Hades, and ruled the Undead, leaving Davy Jones wary of him.
  • Chang Wei used Gungnir to cut the Flying Dutchman's deck and Davy Jones in two, stopping Davy Jones from teleporting.
  • Chang Wei threw Gungnir through the Kraken's core and killed it as it attacked him.
  • Chang Wei left with his crew to find the Sea Emperor's Trident, while Davy Jones and the wounded sea creatures suffered as their souls faded.
