Chang Wei, acting as the Dark Emperor, raised the battlefield’s dead and transformed several corpses into Death Knights, provoking the Middle-earth Alliance into renewed fury. As Galadriel and the allies pressed on, a Death Knight attacked and killed an Elf, leaving Aragorn to confront the monster.

• Galadriel gathered a great flood to sweep away the advancing dead while the Middle-earth Alliance fought through them toward the Dark Emperor.
• Gul'dan saw that Grom had been revived and vowed to bring victory to his master.
• Black Mist covered corpses, which transformed into towering, armored Death Knights wielding Tower Shields and Ripple Swords.

Aragorn and the others fought a Death Knight whose victims became undead, but after Aragorn beheaded it, its black mist possessed him. As Gandalf tried to save Aragorn, Apophis appeared to him with Frostmourne and demanded that he become his knight.

• Chang Wei used King Hassan’s sword, shield, and armor to overwhelm Gandalf and leave him badly wounded.
• Ilúvatar restored Gandalf’s injuries and made him the vessel of the Secret Fire.
• Gandalf learned that the Secret Fire could create life and reality, but he had enough power for only one strike.

Apophis revealed that he had created the Black Flame by devouring the Secret Fire Gandalf had obtained, then challenged Ilúvatar for supremacy. Ilúvatar overwhelmed the Black Flame with the true Secret Fire, but Apophis declared he would merge with his creation and burn himself as fuel.

• Apophis emerged from the Black Flame and explained that he had created it to oppose the Secret Fire by devouring its power.
• Ilúvatar appeared and addressed Apophis as his child, while Gandalf realized Apophis intended to surpass Ilúvatar.
• Apophis attacked Ilúvatar with the Black Flame and declared he would seize the Secret Fire and become the new The One.

• A Yellow Talisman burned, warning Xiao Yanyao that a fierce ghost was approaching, while A Zeng revealed his dream attack had been repelled and injured by their defenses.
• Xiao Yanyao used All-Seeing Eye and All-Hearing Ears to locate the attackers, then led his team in an assault on their house.

The prince fought the Foreign Devils Team’s Ghost Rider but was killed by the Eye of Judgment. Xiao Yanyao then revealed Red Boy’s Samadhi True Fire, which began destroying the supposedly immortal Dracula.

The team then saw the Golden Legion fighting the military, revealing a new threat tied to Hellboy’s world.

• Chang Wei warned Hegemon Scholar not to waste his blood, while Brother Gourd sealed the portrait man with a Soul Sealing Talisman.
• A Lang said Death might no longer be following the list, and the team decided to seek a safer, more open location.

• The Shinigami Legion and more than a thousand Mummy Guards appeared, searching across the city alongside the Golden Legion.
• Chang Wei explained that the Legions could belong to one Reincarnator, and Legion was revealed as their master, hiding beneath the city in a doomsday shelter.
• Legion described his Land of Death, which strengthened controlled Reincarnators and produced Dragon Tooth Soldiers, as well as his other armies and Alucard’s Dead River.
