Discharge from Hospital

Early the next morning, Chen Mo woke up feeling light all over. The pain from the wound on his abdomen had diminished by more than half, while the pain at the back of his neck had completely vanished.

He moved his limbs and found that his strength had returned, putting him in high spirits.

He glanced at the time. It was only six o'clock.

There was no school, so he was in no hurry to get up.

Thinking of his wounds, he looked inward and saw that the bruising at the back of his neck had been completely absorbed, and the ruptured blood vessels had been repaired.

His Spiritual Power moved to the wound on his abdomen. Most of the pooled blood had been absorbed, leaving only a third of what had originally been there.

He was recovering very well. Chen Mo was not particularly surprised by such a recovery rate. In the High Martial World, animals mutated, and so did plants. Even ordinary herbs had become far more potent.

Moreover, everyone practiced martial arts, making their physiques much stronger and their self-healing abilities correspondingly greater.

Even a fracture could heal within a few days with medicine, let alone an external injury.

Chen Mo's abdominal wound could only be considered an external injury. There were no fractures, so it would recover in two or three days.

As for his Dantian, that would not be so easy. The hospital had no solution for it.

With his wounds nearly healed and strength back in his body, Chen Mo wanted to get out of bed.

Suddenly, he thought of his System Panel. He opened it for a look and discovered that his Spiritual Power had increased by 0.2, becoming 99.5.

He remembered that ever since the Enforcer had left, he had not trained his Spiritual Power after waking up. After eating, he had chatted with his mother and sister, leaving him no time to train.

And after falling asleep, he had gone out like a light, never looking at the System Panel at all.

He checked through the System Panel records and found only one entry:

"You carried out one Spiritual Power training session. Spiritual Power +0.2."

Considering what had happened yesterday, Chen Mo realized that this training session must have taken place when he had confronted the Enforcer and trained his Spiritual Power.

He had not expected it to increase by 0.2 in one go.

Just 0.5 more, and his Spiritual Power would reach 100. Chen Mo was greatly looking forward to seeing what would happen once it did.

Each training session required a period of rest afterward, but he had the whole day ahead of him. Chen Mo was confident he could raise his Spiritual Power to 100 today.

"Enough nonsense. Time to train!"

Chen Mo immediately closed his eyes and used Spiritual Perception, watching the System Panel at the same time.

Twenty seconds later, the familiar searing pain struck. Chen Mo still held on, and only when the Spiritual Power field on the System Panel changed to 99.6 did he withdraw his Spiritual Perception.

Not long afterward, his father, Chen Mingyuan, arrived at the ward. He slipped in quietly, set breakfast on the bedside table, and began speaking softly with his mother, Lin Fang.

Chen Mo had just trained his Spiritual Power and was mentally exhausted, so he did not open his eyes.

Still, he heard every word they said.

There was nothing he could do about it. Though exhausted, he could not sleep. His head throbbed violently, making it impossible to rest even if he wanted to.

Half an hour later, Chen Mo had rested enough and finally opened his eyes.

He insisted on getting up by himself, giving Chen Mingyuan and Lin Fang quite a fright. Both wanted to help him.

But Chen Mo insisted on doing it himself, so the two could only let him. Throughout the entire process, however, they watched him closely.

When they saw Chen Mo get out of bed, walk around, wash his face, and brush his teeth like a normal person, both of them were finally relieved.

After breakfast, Chen Mo paced beside the bed and chatted with his parents.

A little after nine in the morning, the doctor came on rounds. After examining him, he said there was no longer any problem and that he could be discharged.

Chen Mo did not want to remain in the hospital either, so he had his parents handle the discharge procedures.

While waiting for the paperwork to be processed, Chen Mo suddenly received a message from his deskmate, Jiang Tao.
