Arc 53The Gods’ Punishment and Holy War

AO stripped the gods of their power and sent them to Toril to recover the stolen Fate Stone Tablet, while Orsaga set forces in motion and ordered the Gith to wage Holy War. The Gith Fleet advanced through the Astral Plane, and Haqqatar used the Slaughterer of All Beings to destroy a God Scourge as the fleet continued toward Toril.

  • Orsaga created a Miniature Multiverse as a nursery for his unborn child, and Allison sent it away to develop while accepting his plan for the children to learn combat.
  • A disturbance began the Punishment Mechanism, and AO revealed that Bane, Myrkul, and Bhaal had stolen the Fate Stone Tablet before stripping the gods of most of their power and casting them into the Material World.
  • Orsaga wagered with Lady of Pain over whether an even or odd number of gods would die, offering Liu Longma’s origin essence for her Primal Pain, and Lady of Pain chose odd.
  • Orsaga commanded Haqqatar and Kaleid to begin Holy War against Toril, and the Gith assembled a fleet of one hundred thousand Void Starships and millions of warriors.

Arc 54Toril Draws the Multiverse

After the gods fell, Toril became a prize as Iolam sought protection and the Gith Empire entered the world. Orsaga and the Lady of Pain drew more factions into the conflict, while Orsaga’s forces prepared to face a Power Dragon.

  • Iolam learned that ancient beings survived and met Sodda, who said the Lady of Pain had chosen him to find a god in distress.
  • Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul failed to decipher the Fate Stone Tablet and sealed it away, while mortals and divine factions began fighting over power and Netheril’s ruins.
  • Orsaga lured treasure hunters toward the imprisoned Felin Demon Sunflowers, whose escape left many adventurers dead as Iolam entered the ruins.
  • Haqqatar led the Gith Fleet into Toril, and the Gith announced their arrival to frightened townspeople.

Arc 55Dragons, Demons, and War

Orsaga’s schemes and the Cataclysm of the Saints drove dragons, elves, dwarves, demons, and gods into escalating conflicts across Toril. As the Dragon Gods fought the elves and Kaleid clashed with Moradin, Orsaga watched without intervening and argued that the young plane needed greater variety among its races.

  • Kaleid fought the Power Dragon with Blood Glory as Orsaga and Haqqatar helped kill the dragon and its reinforcements, prompting the Dragon Gods to investigate.
  • Dimogegen transformed Marquis Kant and used his sacrifice of a city’s people to summon a vast demon army that spread across Toril.
  • The Lady of Black Night sent Iolam to monitor Elminster, while Wojin sought passage through the Abyss and Graz’zt captured her.
  • Orcus joined forces with Tyr and other gods to plan an attack on Dimogegen as the Dragon Gods and elves turned toward open war.
  • Bahamut and Tiamat led the dragons against the elves to destroy the Dragon Frenzy Maze, and the Primordial Time Dragon killed Solonor Thelandira.
  • Corellon rejected Bahamut’s offer to withdraw, and the elves and dragons committed their full strength to battle around the Dragon Frenzy Maze.

Arc 56Gods at War

Lolth killed Corellon as the divine conflicts spread, while Mystra’s allies hunted Bhaal, Bane, and Myrkul. Shar’s scheme drew gods, Gith, adventurers, demons, and other forces into a chaotic battle that ended with Mystra devastating the battlefield, though Haqqatar refused to retreat.

  • Orsaga and the Lady of Pain discussed his affliction and his invitation for her to visit after his offspring was born, while Dimogegen withdrew from Tyr after learning Orcus had attacked Saltwater Swamp.
  • Heim refused Mystra’s request to meet AO without the Fate Stone Tablet, and Mystra returned to the Material World as the battle at the Dragon Frenzy Maze left Bahamut and Corellon badly wounded.
  • Lolth accepted Orsaga’s deal to kill designated gods, then betrayed Corellon and devoured his Divine Body, God Soul, godhead, and divine authority.
  • Shar suspected the Fate Stone Tablet was behind the gods’ movements, while Bhaal, Bane, and Myrkul faced the gods after stealing it and were cornered in a sealed area.
