Level 99 — Limit Douluo / Extreme Douluo 6 Became the “Dragon God” and Sea God Pavilion Master, wielding the Bright Holy Dragon Martial Soul.

Background

In his youth, Mu En studied under Wang Xinshi and formed a close bond with Long Xiaoyao. Both developed feelings for Ye Xishui, whose affection for another man fractured the friendship between the three. Mu En and Long Xiaoyao separately challenged that man and were defeated. 315

Mu En later competed against Shengyang Yue alongside Long Xiaoyao. The loss shattered his confidence, as Shengyang Yue’s power exposed the gulf between their talents. Wang Xinshi restored Mu En’s resolve by invoking the examples of Yu Xiaogang and Tang San, then sent him to reunite with Long Xiaoyao. 397 407

By the present era, Mu En had become Shrek Academy’s Sea God Pavilion Master and a Level 99 Limit Douluo. Severe injuries and age left him hunched and reliant on a wheelchair, though he continued directing the academy’s major decisions. 6

Appearance

Mu En is ordinarily depicted as a small, deeply wrinkled old man in a plain gray robe. His cloudy eyes and drooping eyelids make him appear near death, while his voice has a calming, cleansing quality. 6

  • Usually uses a wheelchair because of his injuries and declining body. 70
  • Has a hunched back in his weakened state. 305
  • His Martial Soul Avatar can restore a youthful appearance, reversing his aged form while active. 483
  • Possesses brilliant Light Power associated with the Bright Holy Dragon. 481 502

Personality

Mu En is deeply committed to Shrek Academy’s survival, prestige, and long-term strength. He repeatedly seeks rare talents, considers succession plans, negotiates for resources, and tries to preserve Tang Sect techniques. 70 142 147

His concern for the academy often makes him calculating and manipulative. He attempts to recruit or bind powerful youths through discipleship, benefits, and the position of Sea God Pavilion Master; he also pressures Zhang Lexuan to help suppress Ma Xiaotao’s evil fire without properly considering Lexuan’s feelings. 118 223 237

Mu En is stern with his subordinates and disciples, particularly Yan Shaozhe and Xuanzi. He is willing to use his Limit Douluo aura to compel obedience, expel dissenting elders, and test the elder council’s loyalty in preparation for Moyan’s succession. 293 296 452

Despite his flaws, he dedicates the latter half of his life to Shrek Academy. After discovering that the Golden Tree had consumed the souls of past Pavilion Masters, he chose to resist Ah Yin and expose the deception rather than submit. 590 591
