Tang San initially presents himself as protective, quick-thinking, and respectful. He defends Old Jack from Nuoding Academy's doorkeeper, trains patiently with Xiao Wu, and accepts Yu Xiaogang as his teacher. 5 21

Following Tang Hao's disappearance, Xiao Wu's capture, and his tournament defeat, he becomes increasingly unstable and resentful. He rallies his companions after Shrek's expulsion, but his need for strength eventually outweighs his loyalty and restraint. 125 158 168

Shrek's Collapse and the Elite Tournament

After Jiang Zhen kills Flender and Ma Hongjun, Tang San prevents the Shrek group from disbanding. He directs them to Blue Tyrant Advanced Soul Master Academy so they can still compete in the All-Continent Soul Master Elite Competition. 125

In the tournament, Tang San unveils the Clear Sky Hammer and Eight Spider Lances against the Star Luo Team, but his decisive hammer attack misses when the Hell White Tiger evades it. He is badly injured and Blue Tyrant Academy forfeits. 154 155

Loss of Xiao Wu

Xiao Wu is captured on Jiang Zhen's orders while the tournament is underway. Tang San suffers a severe emotional relapse after learning she has vanished, becoming overwhelmed by despair, anger, and resentment. 157 158

Unable to cultivate peacefully after Tang Hao's disappearance and Xiao Wu's loss, Tang San accepts the Rakshasa God's offer of power. 168

Clear Sky Sect and Death
