Spirit Hall was already a leading force on the continent, described as standing below the empires yet above the sects. Under Qian Daoliu, it sought to outgrow the limitations of being merely a sect and pursued the long-term goal of becoming an empire. 43

Its growth relied heavily on recruiting civilian soul masters. While noble clans possessed stronger bloodlines, Spirit Hall recognized that the continent’s vast commoner population could produce far more soul masters through large-scale awakening and recruitment efforts. 38 65

After Subduing Demon Douluo was killed and Thousand Jun Douluo was maimed by the masked Su Mutian, Spirit Hall issued a special wanted notice for “Diga” and associated him with Evil Spirit Masters. 63 67 Qian Daoliu then convened an emergency council of titled douluo, assigning regional operations and seeking support from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect for a campaign against Evil Spirit Masters. 67
