By then, the New Year's Eve show was finally ending, and Kiana, who had watched the whole thing, was moved to tears. "Boo-hoo~ This year's show was way too good."

Suddenly, Kiana snapped out of it and whipped her head toward the clock.

"Holy crap, I messed up! The show was so amazing it sucked away another hour. There's no way I'm finishing today..."

But ever the cheerful optimist, Bug Bug quickly perked up and comforted herself. "No worries—let's think bigger. Stretch out the timeline. If I finish by 2:00 AM tomorrow, that gives me four more hours to get the homework done!"

"Go, Kiana! I'll turn this imperfect homework plan into a perfect one!"

Just then, Kiana's phone rang.

"Huh? Who's texting me?"

When she came to again, she suddenly heard Bronya shouting, "Over here, over here, hurry up, Kiana! How are you still dozing off!?"
