The Precursors had revealed many things in the information they left for humanity.
The Great Voyage was only one of them. There was also a way to greatly shorten the time Level Six Civilizations spent deciding whether to embark on the Great Voyage.
They directly told humanity why they needed the Great Voyage.
This meant that after humanity reached the level of a Level Six Civilization in the future, it would not need to agonize over whether to undertake the Great Voyage.
Because the answer was yes. It had to go. If it did not, it would remain trapped at the level of a Level Six Civilization. If the Awakeners' words were not persuasive enough, then the conclusion the Precursors had spent hundreds of millions of years reaching was certainly persuasive.
The Awakeners had once told humanity that the purpose of their Great Voyage was to break through the limits of intelligence, but they had not told humanity their destination.
Perhaps they had not researched the path to becoming a Cosmic Civilization as thoroughly as the Precursors had. Perhaps they had researched it, only to conclude that their inability to become a Cosmic Civilization stemmed from the inadequacy of their own species' intelligence. Or perhaps they knew and simply had not told humanity.
In their words, the time had not yet come.
Still, humanity did not resent the Awakeners, because it believed there was a strong chance the Awakeners wanted humanity to discover the reason for itself.
No matter what, humanity now knew.
But it merely knew. Beyond that, humanity currently had no possibility of taking part.
There was also the information left behind by the Precursors. Aside from introducing matters related to the Great Voyage, they had not left behind any technological information, not even a word about their
