They believed that while they held back the space creatures, they could wipe out this detestable civilization that sold counterfeit goods, along with the helper it had dragged in from who knew where.
Because those two detestable civilizations now had nowhere left to run.
Daya Civilization's breakout fleet quickly fell into a brutal struggle. Tens of millions of Star-Class warships charged straight at them, and the distance between the two sides once closed to 0.5 light-years. At such a range, it was practically close-quarters combat on an interstellar scale.
An even crueler battle unfolded across the stars. Every Tachyon Light Sword fired by Daya Civilization was answered by hundreds more.
Instant weapons like Tachyon Light Swords could not be evaded through computer-predicted movements alone. The situation was somewhat like that of low-level civilizations that had not yet mastered Faster-Than-Light Travel, except their weapons had been light-speed weapons back then, whereas now they had become faster-than-light weapons.
Real Shields were certainly powerful. Before they were breached, the warship itself would not suffer any damage. But under the combined assault of hundreds or thousands of Tachyon Light Swords, the shields would soon overload and fail. After that, the warships could only rely on their hull armor to endure the strikes.
Tachyon Light Swords could pierce Strong Interaction Force Material to begin with. Their operating principle was similar to that of Matter Disintegration Rays, but their range was greater and they were faster.
The armor of Daya Civilization's Star-Class warships was also made of Strong Material, yet it could not withstand repeated Tachyon Light Sword strikes. Usually, after being hit three to five times, a shieldless Star-Class warship would be destroyed.
During the battle against Daya Civilization's breakout fleet, the Star Sea Grand Alliance fleet exploited its numerical advantage to the fullest.
