Gu Yuena was grievously wounded by the Shura God, the God Realm's Law Enforcer, and remained in recuperation as the Silver Dragon King beneath the Lake of Life. Ye Nanxi later found her on Douluo Continent, spared her, and healed her injuries; Gu Yuena subsequently became acquainted with Ye Nanxi and Ye Xuan. 125 414

Before meeting Ye Qin, Gu Yuena waited for him because Ye Nanxi had identified him as the Spirit Beast world's hope. Her original intention was to use him to restore the Spirit Beasts' prosperity, although she gradually developed genuine feelings for him. 125 126 156
