"What was that sound?"
Before they could even inspect the environment beyond the space-time portal, Soji and Sasuke had already been drawn by the roar.
Soon, Soji and Sasuke descended from the air.
Directly beneath them was a high-tech platform resembling a flying saucer.
Beside the platform stood three massive stone tablets.
Each tablet bore two symmetrical patterns, one above and one below.
At a single glance, both Soji and Sasuke found them familiar.
Of course, one of the three tablets had seemingly been deliberately defaced, its patterns smeared beyond recognition.
The other two tablets, however, had been preserved perfectly.
Faced with the strange tablets and the flying-saucer-like platform, neither Soji nor Sasuke hurried toward the source of the roar.
"I feel like I've seen most of the patterns on these tablets before."
Staring at the two intact tablets, Sasuke could not help murmuring.
"We'll know if we check."
Unlike Sasuke, who was still observing, Soji flew directly before one of the intact tablets and pressed a hand against it.
"Bzzzt—"
As Soji made his move, an electric current suddenly seemed to flash across the platform where Sasuke stood.
Then, a figure slowly materialized.
"Kinshiki Otsutsuki!"
The moment Sasuke saw the figure carrying a red-glowing axe, his expression changed drastically, and he immediately went on guard.
"You bastard, weren't you already dead? Why are you here?"
Because of his tension, Sasuke did not immediately notice what was unusual about this "Kinshiki Otsutsuki."
At that moment, the strange "Kinshiki Otsutsuki" suddenly raised his red-glowing axe and charged toward Sasuke at the edge of the platform.
The situation was simply too bizarre. Rather than taking Kinshiki's attack head-on, Sasuke gritted his teeth and leaped backward, leaving the platform's range.
"Bzzzt—"
The instant Sasuke jumped off the platform, the strange "Kinshiki Otsutsuki" vanished
