Hearing the command-like tone in Nick Fury's voice, Tony curled his lip, poured himself a drink, and replied with a touch of mockery:
"Then I won't trouble you. I'm already planning to hold a press conference tomorrow and officially reveal my identity as Iron Man.
If you have the energy, you'd better hurry back and investigate your own S.H.I.E.L.D. I hear that more than half of your organization's upper brass have already become Hydra agents. S.H.I.E.L.D. might as well rename itself Snake S.H.I.E.L.D."
After returning from the kidnapping incident, Tony Stark had changed a great deal. He had recognized the mistakes he and Stark Industries had made in the past, and he had developed a strong sense of social responsibility.
Especially after creating the Iron Man suit and personally wearing it to deal with those terrorists, that sense of responsibility had grown even stronger.
Just as the news said now, Iron Man was a true superhero, and Tony himself believed so as well.
But that did not mean his personality and habits had changed much. He still liked beautiful women, was still sharp-tongued, and still loved showing off.
So why should he hide his identity as Iron Man?
He was doing good, not committing crimes. More importantly, he was Tony Stark. Who was he supposed to fear? Those incompetent government higher-ups?
Of course not.
He had originally still been considering the matter, but after Nick Fury pulled this stunt, he decided to announce it at a press conference tomorrow. That was just how willful he was.
"What did you say?"
Hearing Tony's words, Nick Fury's voice immediately rose several pitches, and his expression turned grave in an instant.
