An aged voice sounded beside his ears. Velin instinctively looked up at the sky and saw a streak of light pass through the air before falling into an unknown space.
"To think that I could actually see the Dawn Sword Saint up close in my lifetime—what a blessing!"
Hearing Clyster's sigh, Velin instinctively nodded in agreement.
Since the Age of Radiance, only eighty-seven people had ascended to World Legend. Sixty-five World Legends had originated from the world plane of Elairilia, twenty had come from subordinate worlds, and the remaining two had come from the Astral Realm.
As for Kyle being favored by the Dawn Sword Saint and taken away to train alongside Lester for six months, Velin was not surprised in the slightest.

When night fell, the two landed outside the city.
Once inside, they were met with a desolate scene. Passersby hurried along with fear on their faces, as though they were afraid of something.
Puzzled, Velin extended his senses over a small area and discovered chaos throughout the districts of low houses. There was practically no order at all.
As they went deeper into the city, there were gradually more pedestrians and more patrolling soldiers.

The soldiers guarding both sides of the gate drew their longswords, watching the two with wary expressions.
