Velin lay on the hillside north of Kixilin Main Camp, watching the silent night sky light up. A strange feeling suddenly welled up within him.

When the night sky fell silent again, an inexplicable drowsiness washed over him.

An ethereal voice roused Velin from his drowsiness. He opened his eyes and looked around, only to find himself standing in the void.

Looking up, he saw a creature with an indistinct face standing dozens of meters away, watching him.

The unknown being placed its right hand over its chest and bowed slightly. "Greetings, esteemed Trial-taker. As you can see, I am a Destiny Star Being. Under the Covenant of Fate, by consuming the Fish of Life nourished by fragments of your own destiny, you have voluntarily accepted fate's trial."

Velin pointed at himself and asked blankly, "Are you talking about me?"

"Yes, esteemed Trial-taker," the Destiny Star Being replied.

Hearing that, Velin opened his mouth, then suddenly realized that Cecilia had set him up.
