As soon as the cave's seal was lifted, a figure pounced on him.
Velin caught her in his arms, and the soft touch eased much of his mental exhaustion.
After lingering together for a moment, Velin released Xuemya, took her hand, and walked deeper into the cave.

Odor set down the book in his hand and nodded at Velin. His expression was somewhat complicated, as though he had much to say, but the circumstances were not suitable.
Ilisis stepped forward and gave Velin a hug. "It's good that you came back safely."
Watching the two brothers embrace, Aisilia could not help smiling.
"Big Brother, the war is over. If nothing unexpected happens, we should be leaving soon," Velin said casually after releasing Ilisis.
"You must have shone brilliantly in this war. It's a pity I didn't get to see it," Ilisis said, unable to hide the regret on his face.
"If I had taken you along, Sister-in-law wouldn't have been happy about it," Velin teased with a smile.
Aisilia and Xuemya both burst out laughing.
"All right, enough of that. You must have a lot to discuss with Master Odor, so I won't disturb you."
Ilisis patted Velin on the shoulder, then walked out of the cave.
Seeing this, Aisilia smiled at Velin before quickly following after her husband.
Xuemya came to Velin's side and said softly, "Then I'll go out first too."
"Go on." Velin raised a hand and tucked the hair hanging over Xuemya's forehead behind her ear. "After we get back, I'll tell you about something that'll broaden your horizons."
