"For this matter, I have no opinion," Kyle said impassively, the smile fading from his face.
"If you put it that way, I'll take it as agreement." Velin stroked his chin and smiled.
Kyle gave his lord a deep look before speaking. "I don't know anything."
"Anyway, I'll take it as agreement."
With that, Velin stood and walked toward the lakeside.
As he left the leisure area, he directly dispelled his disguise.
Since he had already made his decision, there was no need to hide anything anymore. Once the little girl woke up, he could see her reaction.
At the thought of this, the corners of Velin's mouth could not help but curve upward, and anticipation rose within him.
Below the leisure area, Kyle watched his lord dispel his disguise. With a thought, he revealed his true appearance, then took out a Transcendent book from his Space Equipment and began reading as if no one else were around.
As eleven o'clock approached, there were fewer and fewer travelers by the lake, with only a handful remaining.
However, the number of constables patrolling nearby had not decreased. Compared to daytime, there were actually quite a few more.
About half an hour later, feeling a slight chill, Hailia's fingers twitched. She slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes.
"Your Excellency Keck, Vel..."
The moment she realized that the person reading across from her was not the friend she knew, Hailia's mind immediately cleared.
"Sir, my lord, I don't know if you..."
Kyle put down his book and looked at the trembling Hailia with a teasing expression. "You want to ask where Velin and Keck are, right?"
"Mm... mm." Hailia nodded cautiously, lowering her head at the same time, not daring to meet Kyle's eyes.
"The two of them sold you to me."
