On February 7, Radiant Calendar 9800, in the Royal Palace of the Okra Kingdom's Royal Capital, Velin sat at his desk, curiosity showing on his face as he read the information sent back from the Parambria Kingdom.

Damian Bria, king of the Parambria Kingdom, had launched a sweeping purge, eliminating everyone in Pope Arnolak's faction and installing a cardinal named Oberich as Pope of the new Holy Blood Church in the Parambria Kingdom.

How exactly he had accomplished this, however, was not explained.

At the end of the letter, though, there was a detailed account of the confrontation between King Damian Bria and Pope Arnolak.

At the final moment, Damian Bria had said something that left Pope Arnolak frozen in place. He then closed in and drove a sword through the Pope's chest.

Reading this, Velin grew curious. He very much wanted to know what the king of the Parambria Kingdom had said to make a Pope of the Holy Blood Church, already determined to die, lose focus entirely.

"Could Damian have told Arnolak, 'Your wife is so tender'?" Velin put down the letter and stroked his chin, muttering to himself.

But a moment later, he dismissed that possibility.

According to the intelligence his subordinates had submitted, the wife of the Parambria Kingdom's Pope of the Holy Blood Church had died seventeen years ago, ruling that possibility out entirely.

Still, he had a hunch that the Pope's lapse had something to do with a violation of familial morals. As for the truth behind it, he would have to wait until they conquered the Parambria Kingdom before looking into it at his leisure.

"Now, it's time to discuss how to get this ambitious, capable king to cross the sea and attack the Skalien Kingdom of his own accord."
