The rising sun marked the beginning of a new day.
They opened the gate to the Demiplane and left one after another.
"We'll come play with you again next time," Velin said softly, reaching out to pat Cecilia's little head.
"Okay."
Cecilia flew onto Velin's shoulder and kissed his cheek, then flew over to Xuemiyya and kissed her cheek as well.
"We'll be going, then."
"All right."
After watching the gate to the Demiplane disappear, Cecilia flapped her wings and flew toward where Xing was sleeping.
Once they had left the Demiplane, Xuemiyya turned to her husband and said softly, "All right, I need to get to work."
"Can't you take a day off today?" Velin asked.
"No." Xuemiyya shook her head and said softly, "Learning takes perseverance. I can't give up halfway. Besides, you're already a Legendary. I need to make the most of this time while you're working hard and catch up."
"Come back tonight."
"I'll try."
With that, Xuemiyya stepped forward and kissed Velin, then opened a gate to the Demiplane and walked inside.
Watching his wife leave, Velin put the matter out of his mind and strolled toward the garden.
