Half an hour later, Viriu opened his eyes. Looking at this body that had already mutated, he willed it into complete destruction, eradicating even its source.
A Dream of a Hundred Years caused ripples to appear across the surface of Viriu's soul.
Though his original body could still be seen, it was no longer on the same plane.
Before he knew it, a minute had passed.
One second, Viriu had been nothing but a soul.
The next, a body appeared.
Looking at the white-haired youth before him, Velin reached out and stroked his chin, thinking he looked rather handsome.
Opening his eyes and looking at Kyle and Velin, Viriu immediately bowed. "Thank you both for saving me."
Seeing this, Velin reached out and helped him up. "I have an agreement with you, so no matter what happened during this process, I would do everything I could to save you."
"What I didn't expect was for your enemies to hate you so deeply. They actually planted so many lethal traps, terrified that they might fail to kill you."
At this, Viriu revealed a bitter smile. He sighed and said, "I didn't expect my brothers and sisters to be so ruthless either. If I hadn't met you, then three years from now would probably have been my time of death."
"I remember you saying that the three Divine Banes who attacked you were also sent by your brothers and sisters. If so, why didn't they simply make a move and kill you back then?" Velin asked curiously.
"Because if they killed me outright, Mother would kill them. But if they merely severely injured me, Mother would not interfere."
"When my strength recovered to a certain level, those things would erupt and kill me. That would count as suicide and have nothing to
