"Not a bad start."
Velin offered a word of praise, then left the underground fortress.
After resting for a night, he entered the Provincial Capital of Cadro Province the next day.
In the East City District, the noble quarter of Cadro Province, Velin arrived at a residence belonging to the Star Prayer Merchant Guild. After settling in, he sent his men out to look for people with unstable minds and strange behavior, preferably those who had only recently arrived in the Provincial Capital of Cadro Province.
On his second day in the Provincial Capital, Velin received an invitation from Governor Fisk.
"Do you think he has his eye on my money?" Velin set the invitation aside and jokingly asked Kyle.
"I believe so." After thinking for a moment, Kyle answered seriously, "No one rises early without profit. The governor must have tasted the benefits of our last deal and is growing impatient over your arrival, my lord."
"We'll visit our governor in three days."
"Yes, my lord." Kyle immediately left the room to make preparations.
On September 20th, 9725 of the Radiant Calendar, Velin and Governor Fisk sat on opposite sides of a dining table in a private room on the third floor of an upscale restaurant. Their subordinates ate and waited on the second floor.
"It's only been a few months, yet Governor, you look positively radiant. You must have gained quite a lot, haven't you?" Velin picked up his knife and fork, cut off a piece of meat, and slowly chewed it.
"Hahaha, just a little profit. I have you to thank for that, Velin." Fisk laughed heartily as he replied, without a trace of a governor's airs.
"I heard the kingdom has issued a new order recently?" Velin looked up at Fisk and asked with a smile.
