"How many soldiers do you have under your command?" Velin asked, pointing at a Dark Elf.

"Honored lord, I command 1,500 Dark Elf soldiers, 1,000 Dwarven soldiers, 2,000 Gnome soldiers, and 500 Three-Eyed Monster soldiers," the Dark Elf officer stepped forward and respectfully reported.

Velin nodded, then pointed to the Shadow Serpentfolk officer and had him begin his report.

"My lord, I have 500 Shadow Serpentfolk, 500 Dark Elf soldiers, 1,000 Gnome soldiers, 500 Three-Eyed Monster soldiers, 500 Eyeless Ones soldiers, 500 Gray Dwarf soldiers, 500 Caveman soldiers, and 1,000 Goblin soldiers."

The military structures of the various races were quite complete, more or less matching his expectations.

After finishing his inspection of the military camp, Velin directly requisitioned 500 Dark Elf soldiers from the Dark Elf officer as temporary guards and began inspecting the Underground World's thirty-one numbered districts.

District One served as the Underground World's food production area. Thirty mushroom farms, each covering one hundred square kilometers, had been planned there for cultivating edible mushrooms, with Caveman slaves and Gnome slaves mainly responsible for the work.

In a completed plantation area, Velin stepped down from the Carriage. With the aid of the glowing plants throughout the Underground World, he could clearly see the busy slaves. Three-Eyed Monsters acting as overseers stood nearby, waving whips and urging the slaves to work.

Though their expressions were fierce, they only intimidated the slaves at most. They relied mainly on threats and rarely actually lashed the slaves.
