The next morning, Velin entered the city with Kyle and headed for one of Governor Fisk's residences within the city.

At the main gate, Kazak, the governor's son, waited there on his father's orders.

Governor Fisk had sent his own son to receive him, which was a show of considerable respect toward Velin.

Kazak led the way ahead, and Velin passed through several Stone Gates before arriving at the innermost hall.

"Lord Velin, welcome." Fisk rose and stepped forward to greet Velin, his attitude exceptionally sincere.

"You are too courteous, Governor."

With a gentle smile, Velin replied.

The two then took their seats. Kazak stood behind his father, while Kyle stood behind Velin.

"I won't waste time on pleasantries. I invited you here to discuss business. I wish to sell part of the assets in my possession to you." Fisk got straight to the point and laid out the full purpose of the transaction.

Thus far, his assets were mainly concentrated in two places: one was the Provincial Capital of Cadro Province and its surrounding areas, while the other was Bagamoio, the Slave City.

In the East City District of the Provincial Capital of Cadro Province, he had seven residences; in the North City District, six inns and three taverns; in the West City District, eleven shops; and in the South City District, sixty high-class homes, one hundred and fifty mid-class homes, and two hundred and seventy low-class homes.

Outside the Provincial Capital, he also had three small plantations, two Leisure Manors, one Unicorn Sheep Ranch, and two Beef Cattle Ranches.

As for his assets in Bagamoio, the Slave City, they were relatively simple: one Slave Guild, one medium-sized Auction House, and one Slave Agency.

Hearing Fisk list those assets, Velin was somewhat surprised, though not excessively so.
