"What is this?" Burborn asked curiously as he looked at the map on the low table.
Velin did not answer immediately. Instead, he took out the original map and placed it on the left for comparison.
"It looks a little like a resource map drawn by the Dwarves," Madmonk suddenly said, startling the other two.
"Lord Madmonk is truly well-informed. The one on the left is a resource distribution map I happened to obtain from Darag, a Dwarven Marquis. The map on the right was ultimately drawn by my Guardian Knight after on-site investigation, deductions, and verification," Velin explained with a smile.
"You mean that attendant of yours named Kyle. He really is capable—even my paternal uncle praised him highly." Bamund clarified things for the two of them from the side, his tone filled with undisguised envy.
Velin felt somewhat proud of Third Uncle's actions.
"This map records a total of sixty-three resource collection sites. Thirty-five are mineral deposits: thirteen iron mines, eight copper mines, eleven silver mines, and three small gold mines. There are also six Obsidian Wood logging camps, three Azure Crystal mines, two Mountain Copper mines, three Ton Silver Mines, three Blackwater Extraction Wells, three Red Ant Ranches, two Small Magic Crystal Mines, five Bauhinia Flower plantations, and one Gray-skinned Pangolin ranch."
Though the three men appeared calm, their hearts churned like stormy seas.
Even they found these resources deeply tempting.
Madmonk raised his head and saw the smile on Velin's face. He knew the boy was waiting for them to speak first.
"Velin, what do you want?"
"Could I owe you for now?" Velin asked with a smile, rubbing the back of his head.
"Hahaha, certainly. Whatever you need Madmonk and me to do, just come find us," Burborn said with a smile.
"What about me?"
